1 Our Commitment to Student Success Your participation in the promotion process is vital to the future of the Peel board Assuming a formal role in shaping the learning team within a school and becoming an integral part of the senior leadership of the Peel board is an exciting next step in your development as a leader. I am delighted that you have prepared yourself to enter the formal promotion process in Peel. Being a leader in Peel goes well beyond the final outcome of the application and interview process. No matter what course your career will take in the future you are already a leader in public education. You're a leader because of strong, trusting relationships that you've nurtured over the years, and because of the time and effort you have taken to support and serve staff, students and members of the community. I want to commend you for that dedication and commitment. As you enter this process, we will ask you to draw upon your considerable experience as you demonstrate a clear focus on how you will advocate for all students and staff their achievement and success. We will also ask you how you will put your professional knowledge into action through a focus on instructional leadership. I want to thank you for the leadership you have already demonstrated within your school. I hope that you find personal meaning and fulfilment in your leadership choices and in the process you are now embarking upon. I look forward to the powerful impact you will have through increased levels of formal leadership and responsibility in Peel. I wish you every success. Sincerely, Vice-Principal Promotion Process for External Candidates Tony Pontes Director of Education
