Activation Services are A proven approach to capital planning which takes you beyond the bricks and mortar and pre-determined checklists instead, Deloitte and our partners converge facility design with ownership and operational readiness so that you can realize your vision for the future A full suite of services that work across the entire journey from your initial planning and strategy to detailed operational requirements, execution, and transitioning to day 1 and beyond A unique set of capabilities that integrate across service lines, including Health, Financial Advisory, and Infrastructure Planning A partnership model between Deloitte and our clients to enable efficient, high quality care and outcomes Activation planning an opportunity for change The capital planning checklist provides a strong foundation to support capital development. However, healthcare facilities need to develop an equally strong checklist for organizational development, strategy and change to fully optimize the investment. Thinking between the stages is equally important to long term operational success if we want to not only change where we work but how we work. It all starts with asking the questions that go beyond the checklist: Have we explored the options, locally, nationally and globally? Have we maximized our investment and our capabilities? 3 Early, big thinking is critical in health activation planning How you start shapes your overall success Good design and good decisions early on It is critical to do the big thinking early on in the health activation planning process as decisions become compounded as a result, even small changes can have significant impacts later on in the process. Build a solid foundation Phases of planning are cumulative and need to be built on a solid foundation of data and evidence from the start. A collaborative approach to stakeholder engagement is critical throughout all phases of health activation planning. Effective pre-planning is underpinned by an effective procurement process. A coordinated process supports effective contractor management, seamless transition across stages, consistency in approach and reduces risks for the hospital in taking the burden of rework and delays. Changing partners throughout the process increases the risk of unintended impacts and suboptimal outcomes; a single, consistent partner will be core to integration of steps along the journey. Partnering with Deloitte throughout the process will support development of a comprehensive plan that is adhered to so that end outcomes reflect the original goals, objectives and vision of early phases.
