1 Internship Agencies Early Childhood (EC) EC internships take place off campus during the summer semester only. Interns are responsible for finding their own placement at a licensed childcare center or program. The following sites have previously hosted CAD interns. The year in ( ) is the last record of a CAD intern at that site. 2 Internship Schools School Age (SA) SA internships are offered during fall and spring semesters only; no summer internships are available. San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD) Priority Neighborhoods and Schools There are approximately 30 elementary schools located in the following neighborhoods that are considered SFUSD priority schools. Some of the schools are listed below. You are strongly encouraged but not required to seek an internship in an elementary school in one of these neighborhoods. You can also seek an internship in a SFUSD elementary school that is not in the following neighborhoods, or an elementary school that is not part of the SFUSD. 3 Internship Agencies Youth Work (YW) SFSU has a commitment to the neighborhoods in which it resides and our surrounding neighborhoods. With that, ideally 25% of our Youth Work & Out of School Time interns would be placed in one of the following neighborhoods: (1) OMI Oceanside, Merced, Ingleside, (2) Excelsior, (3) Outer Mission, and, (4) Crocker Amazon. The following sites serve one or more of these select neighborhoods. You are strongly encouraged but not required to seek an internship in one of these neighborhoods/agencies.
