1 CITY OF LAREDO, TEXAS WATER UTILITIES DEPARTMENT 24-INCH TRANSMISSION MAIN ADDENDUM 7 June 10, 2016 To Bidder of Record: The following changes, additions, and/or deletions are hereby made a part of the Contract Documents for the construction of the 24-inch Transmission Main Project, for the City of Laredo, Texas, Dated March 31, 2016, as fully and completely as if the same were set forth therein. Bidding and Contract Requirements: 1. A-5, PROPOSAL, BID SCHEDULE, S 5, 6, & 7: REVISE pipe class from C-900 DR-18 CLASS 235 to C-900 DR-14 CLASS 305 Note: No change in quantity. 2. A-5, PROPOSAL, BID SCHEDULE, S 10, 11, 12, & 13: CLARIFICATION Valve assemblies include valve box. Note: No change in quantity. 3. A-5, PROPOSAL, BID SCHEDULE, 22, Select Backfill Material: REVISE Description and Quantity from Loose 15,660 CY to Compacted 12,500 CY. 4. A-5, PROPOSAL, BID SCHEDULE, 22, Select Backfill Material: CLARIFICATION: Select Backfill Material will only be required in areas that do not meet the City of Laredo Utility Trench Backfill Condition A criteria and/or Geotech Report conditions. All other areas may use on-site soil that meets the City of Laredo Utility Trench Backfill Condition A criteria and/or Geotech Report conditions. Regardless of which one is used, the on-site soils and backfill materials should be relatively free and clean of deleterious material or materials exceeding 3 inches in maximum dimension as per Geotech Report. 5. A-5, PROPOSAL, BID SCHEDULE, 23, 12 Crushed Concrete: REVISE Description and Quantity from Loose 2,500 CY to Compacted 2,000 CY. 6. A-5, PROPOSAL, BID SCHEDULE, 23, 12 Crushed Concrete: CLARIFICATION Crushed Concrete shall conform to Section , Recycled Material (Including Crushed Concrete) Requirements, of the Texas Department of Transportation Specifications 2004 or latest edition, compacted to at least 98 percent of the maximum dry density as per Geotech Report. 7. A-5, PROPOSAL, BID SCHEDULE, 23, 12 Crushed Concrete: ALTERNATE Crushed Limestone may be used in lieu of Crushed Concrete conforming to Item 247 Flexible Base of the Texas Department of Transportation Specifications 2004 or latest edition, compacted to at least 98 percent of the maximum dry density as per Geotech Report. 24 Transmission Main 6/10/2016
