3 Services provided by Best Doctors The services provided by Best Doctors are available to insureds that have been diagnosed with one of the covered medical conditions* and have a total critical insurance coverage of $100,000 or more. You and your attending physician will receive a report on these doctors detailing their experience and availability. Referrals are obtained from a database of over 50,000 physicians in Canada, the U.S. and elsewhere in the world that are based on peer-review evaluations conducted every two years. 5 TESTIMONIAL I am forever grateful for the services of Best Doctors... It changed my life. The initial diagnosis: Andrea was diagnosed with mitral valve prolapse, a fairly common heart defect. She had lived with this defect for many years without any complications. Suddenly, Andrea was diagnosed with endocarditis an inflammation of the heart endothelial layer including the cardiac valves caused by a strep infection that did not react to antibiotics.
