The booklet is intended to offer step-by-step instructions that will make it easier for the Walnut Hill Ruritan Club, and the Barrineau Park Historical Society, to nominate other sites in their community for the National Register of Historic Places. Also worked with the Walnut Hill Ruritan Club to begin a National Registry nomination for the Walnut Hill School House. League of Women Voters: Decades of Political Activism in the Pensacola Bay Area August April 2013 Worked with three other public history students to develop a portable exhibit panel that provides an overview of the League of Women Voters in the Pensacola Bay Area s history, while also meeting their mobility needs. Personally conducted two oral histories with League members, in addition to contributing to the overall research, writing, and design of the exhibit. Digitalizing Oral Histories May August 2012 Performed digitization of oral histories in the Beacon Archives of West Florida Historic Preservation, Inc. Utilized a variety of recording devices, including analog tape recorders and computer recording software, while gaining experience in archival practices and organization. Guantanamo Bay Oral Histories May August 2012 Conducted four oral histories with former GTMO residents to be placed on file at the UWF archives, and for the Guantanamo Public Memory Project to use in a traveling exhibit that premiered in Next Exit History Podcast Development May July 2012 Researched and wrote six informative podcasts on sites located throughout the American Northwest for the Next Exit History Mobile App. The podcasts are also included in the Next Exit History online database.

3 Pensacola Jewish History Travel Trunk August December 2011 As an Education Intern at West Florida Historic Preservation, Inc., developed an educational program for elementary and middle school students that focused on the Jewish history of Pensacola. This included a lesson plan, teaching aids, and interactive activities contained within a trunk that could be loaned to teachers and local schools. Undergraduate Honors Thesis: The Unique Perspectives of Army, Navy, and Army Air Corps Veterans August December 2011 Completed a thesis project based on the oral histories of United States military veterans with the intent of displaying the unique differences that exist between the experiences of veterans depending upon their branch of service and their own personal experiences. After conducting three oral history interviews created an informational poster that was then presented at the Southern Regional Honors Conference in Tampa, Florida. Next Exit History Podcast Development May July 2011 Researched and wrote three informative podcasts on sites located along the East Coast of the United States for the Next Exit History Mobile App. The podcasts are also included in the Next Exit History online database. Community Oral Histories: Tampa, Florida May August 2010 Conducted two oral histories with residents of Tampa, Florida. The project was intended to showcase the diversity and unique experiences of Tampa residents. Work Experience: Historical Interpreter Telfair Museums Savannah, Georgia August Present - Led public tours of the Owens-Thomas House and the Telfair Academy. - Led private tours of the Owens-Thomas House when requested. - Assisted with special events held at the Owens-Thomas house including greeting guests, set up, and clean up. - Conducted research for site related topics. Interpretive Guide Historic Trust July February 2014

4 - Participated in various living history demonstrations that included activities such as open hearth cooking, textile work, sewing, candle dipping, and fire making. - Led public tours in Historic Pensacola Village while giving oral presentations on local history and artifacts. - Led school tours for elementary, middle, and high school students regarding European colonization and colonial life in Pensacola. - Performed cashier duties including answering telephones, operating a cash register, and answering visitors questions. - Assisted with volunteer training. Phonathon Caller February March 2012 (seasonal employment) - Worked as a student caller contacting alumni to share University news, update contact information, and offer opportunities to donate to UWF. - Trained in telemarketing techniques and utilized interpersonal communication skills on a daily basis.
