Introduction Preface About Program 3
Introduction 4 Introduction As a result of the accelerating increase in the number of mobile subscribers or the data demand of the services they use, it has become necessary to search for appropriate solutions for backhaul networks, in terms of cost reduction and to enable the advancement of next-generation mobile applications and deliver the full value of mobility. In fact, there are several aspects of this topic, the most important in the transformation from circuit switched to packet switched networks, besides the competition between the fiberoptic and microwave links. On one side, and microwave links provide quick solutions that adapts the random nature of BTS locations. And on the other side fiber cables ensure that future generations networks requirements.
What can Do for You? Objectives Program Overview 5
Overview 6 Program Overview Science or Technology The course will guide the trainee from basic engineering of either (wireless technology or fiber optics) up-to network planning, deployment, commissioning, and management. The core of the training track is to be able to design a backhaul network for a cellular system (2G, 3G, or 4G), using Microwave links, Fiber cable links, or a hybrid combination of the two options. This necessitates the provision of the required theoretical foundations, using some software tools, and applying the gained knowledge in your project.
Objectives 7 Wireless Systems and Backbone Networks 2 3 Objectives Understand the Mobile backhaul network requirements, and relate these requirements to the services offered by the cellular system generation. Grasp the main aspects of a transmission link, and how to compromise among them for efficient link planning Design a backhaul network, and apply the knowledge gained to recommend an appropriate system product via comparing the technical manuals Perform commissioning tests, and propose the key performance tests for the system after deployment 1 4
Do for You What can Do for You? Learn the basics of MW communications and different components of MW system. Use software planning tools to design a backhaul network in a specific area 1 4 Perform interference analysis and frequency planning Practical training to emphasis on the key issues in planning On Jop Training at leading companies in the field Talented Graduates will have the opportunity to Join Seeds For The Future Program offered by Huawei Technologies co. to enhance their knowledge to promote greater understanding towards the most advanced ICT technologies, through professional and customized seminars in Huawei HQ China which they cover expenses. 3 5
