Chi-Square Test For the purpose of the analysis chi-square test was used to find out whether there is any significant relationship between dependent variables viz., level of satisfaction and independent variables likes sex, age, educational qualification, occupation, family size and income of the respondents. The following formula was applied for calculating the chi-square (x 2 ) test. X 2 = (O E) E Where, = observed frequency E = expected frequency Row total column total E = Grand total If the calculated value is greater than the table value at 5 percent level of significance, it is concluded that there is a significant relationship between the level of satisfaction of the respondents and that of independent variables. If calculated value is less than the table value, it is concluded that independent variable has no significant relationship in the level of satisfaction of the respondents Factors Influencing the An attempt has been made to study the factors influencing the level of satisfaction of the consumers. Demographic characteristics such as sex, age, education, occupation, income and family size are the important elements to be considered in measuring the attitudes of consumers. Thus in order to measure the attributes of consumers, they are classified based on their demographic characteristics.
