2 BREAST CANCER RESEARCH FOUNDATION DONATIONS None of your Tour De Bondville registration fee goes to BCRF. The registration fees go towards covering the cost of the event. Donations to BCRF are completely optional. You are welcome to participate in the TDB and not make a donation to BCRF but if you would like to make a tax deductible donation to BCRF please send a separate check made out to Breast Cancer Research Foundation along with your registration form. In 2015 we raised just over $42,000 and we are hoping to raise even more than that this year. We are going to need all the help we can get to reach that lofty goal so please feel free to invite any and all of your cycling and golf buddies to participate in this year s Tour De Bondville. It s going to be another spectacular tour so be sure to save the date. It helps us greatly if you register earlier than later. We appreciate your generosity in helping us to find a cure. 3 Tour De Bondville Ride Information The Ride This year there will be 4 rides to choose from: -16 Miles -25 Miles -50 Miles Classic TDB route -53 Miles (Approx) Less vertical than the classic TDB route Our top notch support crew will be back this year manning the feed stations and handing out whatever it is you need to keep your pedals moving (Food, drink or emotional support). We will have a SAG vehicle driving around in case anybody needs assistance, printed up route sheets with exact mileages to each turn and directional arrows will be painted on the roads. Nobody will get lost!!! We will have porta-potties at the start/finish line as well as the feed station. Start/End All rides will start and end at The Startingate Ski Shop located on Route 30, 1/2 mile east of the Stratton Mountain access road. Start Time Wheels rolling at 9am Route Change Special thanks to Tom Mann for coming up with a great idea for a route change. Normally when we come down Route 11 into Landgrove, we stay straight on route 11 to Thompsonburg Trail and turn right and the feed station is on your right. This year when we come down 11 into Landgrove, we will make a right onto route 100 South and follow that around to Thompsonburg Trail and the feed station will be on your left. This detour will cut out a few miles of heavily trafficked, poorly paved roads and give us all a much nicer ride without any significant change in distance. 3

Riders & Golfers - Your registration fee includes the after event party with a buffet lunch. If you have a husband, wife, significant other, child, friend etc. that does NOT want to take part in any of the morning athletic events, but would like to come to the after event party, the cost for the party only is: Adults = $25 p/person Kids under 12 = $15 p/person 4

7 Tour De Bondville Golf Outing Information Riding not your thing??? Not to worry the TDB has something for everybody. Come and play golf at the beautiful Stratton Mountain Country Club. Golf is limited to 16 players. You can sign up as either a single, twosome, threesome or foursome. Tee times are between 8am 9am. All golfers will attend the famous after event party at the new and improved Grizzly s in the Stratton Mountain Base Lodge. After event party starts at 3pm. Cost to play golf $140 per player This includes: -18 hole round of golf -Golf cart -1 Bucket of range balls -Tour De Bondville T-shirt and goodie bag -After event party / Buffet lunch / Raffle Prizes Cost To Attend After Event Party Only The after event party starts at 3pm at the new & improved Grizzly s in the Stratton Mtn. base lodge. 9 Tour De Bondville After Event Party Information Festivities will start at 3pm at the new and improved Grizzly s in the Stratton Mtn. base lodge. There will be a buffet lunch and a cash bar that is included in all athletes registration fees. There will also be an awesome raffle benefitting The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Bring your checkbook so you can write a tax deductible check for raffle tickets. If you have friends, family members or party animals that do not wish to partake in the athletic portion of the TDB, but would like to come to the after event party, you can register them for the party only in the afternoon. This is a real family event so bring your family & friends. Shower Info For those of you who are traveling from afar, we have arranged for showers to be available at the Stratton Sports Center for $5 per person so you can freshen up before the after event party. Please make sure to take advantage of the showers BEFORE the party! Your fellow party goers will appreciate this. 9

10 Charitable Donations to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation We have teamed up with The Breast Cancer Research Foundation in an effort to raise money for breast cancer. We are keeping the cost of the event to the bare bones minimum in the hopes that everybody will make a donation. 11 HERE S THE BEST PART - The Tour De Bondville has the most generous sponsors in the world. We have incredible raffle prizes to give away at the after event party. Most prizes have a retail value in excess of $1,000. Raffle tickets are 3 for $20. If you send us a donation check made out to Breast Cancer Research Foundation you will get an appropriate amount of raffle tickets for your donation. For those who donate in advance, you will be able to pick up your raffle tickets at the party. IMPORTANT Your registration fee does NOT include any donation to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Only money donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation will get credited towards raffle tickets. We cannot give you raffle tickets for any checks sent directly to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. The donation must be made through the Tour De Bondville to get raffle tickets for the donation. 11

12 Key Dates, Cancellations, Refunds and Rainouts Here is the fine print in a large font. Key Dates May 7, T-Shirt Deadline I have to order the T-shirts by May 7, I will only order T-shirts for people that have sent in their registration forms with checks by May 7, IMPORTANT - DON T BE TOPLESS ON EVENT DAY. Please be sure to send in your registration forms by May 7, 2016 to be sure you get a T-shirt. June 10, Cancellation Deadline We have to buy feed station supplies for the bike ride, golf outing and commit to Stratton Mountain for a minimum number of people to attend the after event party by June 10, You can call me or me any time to cancel up to June 10, 2016, and I will tear up your registration form and check, however, after June 10, 2016 you will be committed to the Tour (or at least your money will be even if you cannot make it). Refunds and Rainouts You will all be happy to know that I have researched the weather patterns for June 25th in Bondville, VT for the last 100 years. I have closely studied the historical precipitation amounts, I have taken into account the prevailing winds (direction as well as speed), El Nino (Especially important in 2016), La Nina, polar ice cap melting rates, phases of the moon, oceanic high and low tide cycles, rotation of the earth, leap year, the serious lack of snow during the ski season, The serious abundance of snow in the ski season (is there such a thing as abundance of snow?) and after all of this work, I have decided that Saturday June 25, 2016 is going to be a beautiful day. However, the weather in Vermont can be fickle so in the off chance that it does rain, here is what happens: Bike Ride If the weather is 100% chance of thunderstorms on Friday night, we will cancel on Friday evening, notify everybody by and invoke the rain date of Sunday. However, if there is a chance that we can get the ride in on Saturday we will make every attempt to make it happen. You should show up at the Startingate Ski Shop planning to start riding at 9am. We will make every effort possible to make the ride happen on Saturday (Even if we end up starting a bit late). If the weather gives us a break, we will go on a moment s notice. Just ask anybody who was at the 2010 TDB. If the weather is deemed too dangerous to ride on Saturday, we will cancel the ride and try again on Sunday. The decision to go or no go is solely up to the Tour De Bondville organizers. Your safety is our #1 concern. Unfortunately, 12

13 there will be no refunds for bikers. Your money was already spent on supplies, T-shirts and the after event party. Golf Outing If the golf course is open, we will play. If the golf course is closed, you should go to the pro shop and they will give you a voucher to come back and play another day. There will be no cash refunds. After Event Party at Grizzly s - The after event party happens rain or shine Saturday afternoon. What better way to spend either a sunny or rainy afternoon in Vermont than eating and drinking and winning great raffle prizes at the new and improved Grizzly s with great friends. Free Concert Saturday Night - Stratton usually has a free concert series Saturday night starting at 6pm (Right when the TDBN party ends). The schedule of bands has not been posted yet so check out to see who will be playing that night. Bring some lawn chairs and plan to hang out in the base area and listen to some great music. Concert starts at 6pm. 13
