Over one hundred different settings allow this point of sale module to be as simple or as complex as required. 3
4 Inventory Control Special Orders Specialty retailers such as furniture stores typically have a show room and stock only the fast moving items. All other goods are special order due to their complicated nature. A custom table could have a large number of variables such as fi nish, leg, top, stain, cushions and fabric. Voyager gives you the power to take these orders and process them from start to fi nish. The Point of Sale module lets you create the orders. The purchase order system then creates the PO based on the special order. The receiving system informs the customer system of which customer order has been received and, fi nally, the POS module takes the fi nal payments. Voyager is a fully integrated system which allows you to track special orders throughout the entire order cycle. One of the key features for the shoe and clothing sector is the sizing matrix. This matrix allows you to setup 3 key elements of a product, such as colour, size and width. The matrix is not limited; each style/ product can have its own matrix. If you are dealing with European and North American sizing, you can display both on your barcode tickets. This matrix design fl ows throughout the entire system. Each cell in the product matrix will track costing and pricing information, on hand, on order as well as the taxing information, inventory movement, supplier codes and bar-coding information. For example your business would be able to track which sizes, colours, and widths are selling and which are not. This feature will greatly improve how you do your purchasing. Each product/style can be categorized by the following: Department Category Sub Category Vendor Season Collection/Product line The special order and the purchase order systems are tied very closely together. Information passes between these two modules so you have all your information available when your customers inquire about their order These groupings will allow you to pinpoint information without going through massive amounts of data. Promotions, pricing groups, merchandising reports, customer purchasing habits, physical counts and product searching can all be broken down by these groupings.

There is no waiting for nightly communication between stores and head offi ce. Charges and payments on account are updated immediately to avoid possible credit limit problems. 7 Wholesale Order System Inventory is updated in Real-Time. Goods are received thru the purchasing system and prints a notifi cation as to which orders can be fi lled with the received goods. Item are then picked and allocated to the correct orders. Once picked, the orders are packed and invoices created. Generate sales orders, picking slip, packing slips and order confi rmations with a matrix look and feel. Purchase orders can display special order information down to the source documents and, special orders can display purchase order information. Purchase orders can be manually generated or created from the special order processing module. Purchase order can be generated via Min Max analysis Min Max levels can be calculated based on historical sales Purchase order worksheets have historical sales information at your fi ngertips Purchase orders can be ed to your suppliers The item matrix is also available in the purchase order module. With proper training you can order goods from your supplier using their colour codes and sizing matrix. Purchase orders can have many special orders and customers attached to each cell in a matrixed product. As special orders are received you are notifi ed so that the customer can be called. Order acknowledgements can be entered in the purchase order and fl ow through to the special order. Barcode ticket batches are generated upon the receiving of each shipment. 8 Web Site Integration Voyager s integrated E-Commerce provides retailers with a full range of features and real-time reporting to assist in positioning products for their greatest selling potential. Post your products and their pictures on the web with one simple click within your Web store product screen, and then move them out the door in less time and with more effi ciency. All orders are inserted directly into the Voyager database. Merchandise can be sold from any of your stores or warehouses. In addition you have the ability to sell at different price points to totally new markets on the web. Voyager offers custom, sophisticated websites which are integrated completely with your virtual stores, with real-time inventory derived directly from your Voyager Professional system. 9 Standalone Selling With the remote selling features you have the ability to go to trade shows, take orders at customer locations and kiosk sales stations, and have sidewalk sales The standalone sales functions allow you to take all your inventory, customer information and much more with you for your reference when talking with customers. At the same time it allows you to sell or place orders which will be synchronized to the main system upon your return. General Ledger Our double-entry General Ledger system is advanced enough for your accountant, yet easy for your users to understand and use. All transactioins within the system generate journal entries which can be exported to almost any standard accounting package. Packages currently include: Quickbooks Sage(Simply Accounting) Sage(Accpac) Sage(MAS90) Exporting to an external accounting will usually save you expenses in the long run as your accounting will not have to be trained on new systems. Voyager does have all the required backup information to allow a very good audit between systems.
