2 PROGRAM OVERVIEW

3 The NBS Summer Consulting Internship Program is designed to provide participants with a global view of business, but with a particular focus on Chinese business philosophy and challenges. This program provides students with an edge in the business world. Through creativity, entrepreneurship and globally important ideas, students are challenged to deepen their view of Multinational Companies (MNCs), develop a strategic mindset and grasp the latest management tools required by a MNCs leader in today s fast- moving business world. Our program places each student into a Chinese multi-national company for two different experiences: a single day immersion with a Senior Manager and a 4-week long placement in a consulting engagement. The first placement allows students to understand a Chinese MNCs manager's typical day and the challenges that he or she faces. The second placement allows the students to study a particular problem in an MNC and propose a formal solution to the issue, using internal and external information as appropriate. Each student will be assigned a CEO Coach as their Internship Tutor from the NBS. The Program blends innovative course design with face-to face interaction, consulting experience and immersion study tours. It also unites students from diverse educational and cultural backgrounds in the spirit of learning, open-mindedness and debate, while at the same time providing a deeper understanding of Chinese business philosophy and culture through first-hand experience. During the internship program, the school will also offer lectures about Chinese Management Case Studies, Cross Culture Communication and practical Business Chinese language. This program is supported by the Global MNCs Education Alliance (GMEA). The goal of GMEA is to provide strong supports for the international elites to pursue their higher education and future career especially with a focus on China. The students who participate in their programs will have more opportunities to work for the multinational companies either in China or in their home countries after their graduations. 3

9 Global MNCs Education Alliance Global MNCs Education Alliance (GMEA) aims to provide the international managerial expertise with global vision and deep understanding of market operation in China and beyond, to implement strategies for Multinational Companies to go global, and to promote the international talent recruitment network. GMEA will offer scholarships for the Summer Consulting Internship Program students to entirely or partially cover their accommodation and pocket money according to applicant's achievements. 10 HOW TO APPLY TUITION The program is from June 8th 2015 to July 10th 2015 for 35 days. For the 2015 Summer Consulting Internship Program, the cost of tuition is 3980USD. Requirements Undergraduates or graduates at college/university or equivalent Dynamic and open-minded with International mindset Ability to appreciate different cultural models of business A minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or equivalent.
