2 It all began many, many years ago.... In 1964, over 40 years ago, a man had a vision that people from all over the world should have a place where they could learn together. A place where cultural diversity would foster peace and understanding among nations. A place where friendships could develop that would bring nations closer together and make the world a better place to live, work and play. Dr. Walter Leibrecht Dr. Walter Leibrecht, launched his first University in Kleiningersheim Castle, Germany, with this very mission in mind. He named the University after the famous German poet, historian, philosopher, and dramatist, Friedrich von Schiller, who embodied many of his ideals.

Schiller can offer you the opportunity to experience many personally transformative moments while taking good care of you and helping you along your academic journey. Studying in Heidelberg, one of Europe's most beautiful cities, was wonderful. To maximize the experience, Schiller offered frequent trips to other cities in Germany and t o Austria and Czechoslovakia. I treasure the friendships made with some of the students. I benefited tremendously from the small class size, which allowed for more in-depth discussion and ready interaction with my professors. Coming from a multiracial society myself, I felt right at home in the multicultural atmosphere at Schiller. I had the opportunity to meet people from all over the world and was able to form friendships which I still maintain today.

You have to be disciplined in order to be successful. In my specific case, I was working full-time and completed my entire degree online.
