21 Keys to Success & Lessons Learned Lessons Learned Using SAP Lumira Very little training required for data junkies to be up-and-running on SAP Lumira How To documents for preferences, client setup and data acquisition 30-minute real-time data acquisition and visualization creation session Custom hierarchies was introduced in SAP Lumira 1.17 Filtering of data prior to acquisition was introduced in SAP Lumira 1.17 Like SAP BusinessObjects Explorer Information Spaces, too many attributes (Facets) will degrade performance in SAP Lumira Some visualizations do not use preferred palette For SAP Lumira client version, the more resources on the client machine, the better the tool will perform Freehand SQL data sources are difficult to work with Must login for each query (no profile) Executes queries serially on refresh 21
