1 Wax - AW1 For flat-head printers AW1 is a wax quality ribbon developed for, and best suited to, general purpose label printing, offering heat resistance up to 60ºC (140ºF). This product provides good, clear printed images, text and barcodes on to a wide range of label stocks, from synthetics to paper uncoated papers particularly, and with a blackness above 2.1 (ODR). Its highly versatile performance fulfills the needs of most standard applications. It lays down a clear and sharp printed image on most label stocks, from uncoated and glossy papers to synthetics. This ribbon is very versatile, performing well on most uncoated papers as well as glossy and synthetic materials. It will withstand heat up to 110ºC (230ºF) and has a blackness of 1.6 (ODR). It is the recommended product for use in harsh environment label printing for the chemical and pharmaceutical industries. The AS1 is compatible with most synthetic materials, and some matt and high gloss coated papers. It will withstand temperatures of up to 180ºC (356ºF) and has a blackness of 1.8 (ODR).
