While sprinkled with case studies, focusing on overseas literature study about a phase with the new competitive power of the marketing strategy under such environment, we continue to discuss thoroughly. Toshihiko Iwamoto, Advance Study of Financial Accounting (G1-2) In this financial accounting class, we research Japanese accounting rules (an accounting convention, a financial-statements standard, etc.), their creation and their practical use in Japan. Considering the circumstance and the process of their enactment, we try to understand their context deeply. Comparing with the U.S. standard, international standards, etc., we discuss the essence and the issues of "an accounting convention of Japan. (see Atsuo Takei, Advance Study of Management Accounting (G1-3) In this management accounting class, we research the accounting tools and practices for managers of corporations. We study accounting tools for environmental estimation, management planning, control and check in some Japanese main companies, TOYOTA, HITACH, TOSHIBA etc. Considering the cost management and the budgetary control, we discuss the efficient accounting methods of corporations in Japan and other countries, including financial analysis method. 2 Advance Study of International Accounting (G1-4) In this international accounting class, we research international accounting rules and practices, such as US rules, European practices and Asian conditions etc. Comparing the cultural, social, economic, legal and political conditions of some countries, we study the accounting rules of these countries, Considering the issues of financial reporting, we analyze financial reports and financial statements, discuss the accounting context of international companies, such as trading companies. (see Atsuo Takei, Photo: same as above (2) Field of Environmental Information Class (Class Code) & Descriptions Advance Study of Environmental Informatics (G2-1) This class examines various Man-Environment Systems, from the regional to global level, in terms of information science. Major environmental issues, such as sustainable utilization of environmental resources, are discussed from the standpoints of both theory and technologies. Emphasis is on two major themes; efficient extraction and comprehensive analyses of environmental information; and effective incorporation of research results into the decision making processes of individuals and government agencies. Information is extracted from social and environmental matrixes in the Real World, modeled in Cyberspace, and the results incorporated into the decision making processes through a network of Environmental Communication. The goal is establishment of an environmental information system that supports the participation of local residents in policy formulation. Using this approach, the class urges students to understand and create solutions to actual environmental problems, in particular the conservation of biodiversity within the framework of sustainable development and resource utilization. As a practical example, the methods of Landscape Ecology are presented as tools for understanding the relationships among information and the environment as seen in the recovery of the Tohoku Region from the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami of Advance Study of Ecosystem-based Management (G2-2) Changes in ecosystems and decrease in biodiversity resulting from human activities lead to degradation of ecosystem services. Advance Study of Environmental Remote Sensing (G2-3) The applications of remote sensing to environmental studies will be introduced on spectrum bands including visible, infra-red, and microwave, and on sensing systems by passive or active, for the monitoring of the earth, ocean, and terrestrial environments and relative to climate change and global warming. For the data processing, pre and post processing will be introduced to estimate the geophysical parameters. The algorithms of atmospheric correction, bio-optical algorithm, and other algorisms are empirically developed through the history of remote sensing studies. The related scientific papers on the remote sensing will be discussed at the class every week. Ichio Asanuma, Advance Study of Spatial and Geographic Information (G2-4) There are remote sensing by the airborne and satellite sensors, a geographic information system (GIS), global positioning system (GPS) to catche a position and digital photogrammetry in the high techology supporting spatial information engineering. These are utilized in a wide range of fields from crime prevention system for safety and security to global environmental issues. In this lecture, it discusses to technology components using high technology, such as data acquisition and measurement, analysis, and the expression technique, surveying real use. Jonggeol Park, Associate Advance Study of Object-oriented design (G2-5) Object-oriented design is defined as the discipline of defining the objects and their interactions to solve a problem that was identified and Nobutoshi Hatanaka,

4 documented during object-oriented analysis. Then, returned reworks occur frequently in the case of using the waterfall model for a software design process. However, it makes design`s reworks decrease dramatically that the interaction between objects are identified and the transited diagrams of object status are applied for a software design process. In addition, the object-oriented design is available to establish the concept of global environment system, information security system. These are explained and instructed by our teaching staff. Advance Study of Statistical data analysis (G2-6) Since the data, which is stored day by day in the network society, has been growing in large scale, our interest will advance against data analysis and data science. Analytical results depending on the statistical theory may be attractive for researcher in every academic field. Through this course lecture, you can get some analytical strategy and skill with computer for statistics and multivariate analysis. You need to understand related paper or thesis, and need to debate about your research subject. Naoko Sakurai, (3) Field of Information Systems Class (Class Code) & Descriptions Advance Study of Information Network (G3-1) Information Network consists of three networks, fixed network (i.e. telephone service based network), internet (i.e. global computer network) and mobile network. First, basic technologies of these networks will be explained which include optical subscribe network, switching network, communication software technology, internet services technology (e.g. web application, streaming service), wireless access network (base station, location information database, handover), IEEE wireless LAN and core network architecture. Next, major new technologies will be explained which include IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem), NGN (Next Generation Network), FMC (Fixed Mobile Convergence) and ad-hoc sensor network. Also new trend in Japan will be explained. Moo Wan Kim, Advance Study of Soft Computing (G3-2) Kenneth J. Mackin,

5 Soft computing is a field within computer science which aims to solve computationally hard tasks which cannot be solved in feasible time using conventional methods. Features of soft computing include tolerance to imprecise, uncertain, and incomplete data. Soft computing aims to provide robust, versatile, and low computational cost methods to solve complex, real-world problems. Soft computing methods include artificial neural networks, evolutionary computation, fuzzy logic, and swarm intelligence. Associate (4) Field of Media & Culture Studies Class (Class Code) & Descriptions Advance Study of Mathematics for Information Processing (G4-1) Spectral analysis for digital signal processing, and mathematical method for digital filter design are studied. Also, application of digital signal processing to sound and graphics are studied through programming and exercises. Nobuo Koizumi, Advance Study of Audio Information Processing (G4-2) Audio information processing is examined in terms of digital signal processing, media design, and recent trends on audio technologies.
