1 ETC Release Note Unison Paradigm P-TS18, VTS, and P-TSI Product Line: Description: Paradigm 18" Touchscreen, Virtual Touchscreen Software, and Paradigm Touchscreen Interface Version software P-TS18 and P-TSI Software Components Paradigm 18 Touchscreen Paradigm Touchscreen Interface Engineering Change Master (ECM): Effective Date: Purpose The purpose of this release is to add compatibility with other Paradigm software, add support for updated P-TS18 (rev 2) hardware, add support for the Calendar Widget (Timed Event Viewer), and to incorporate bug fixes. For any questions relating to the contents of this release or the behavior of this software, please contact ETC Technical Services at the office nearest you. A list of ETC offices is given at the bottom of this page. Availability The Paradigm 18 Touchscreen and Paradigm Touchscreen Interface software are currently available in shipping units and should not require update before use. Future upgrades can be coordinated as needed with ETC Technical Services. Virtual Touchscreen Software is currently available as a download from the ETC website at Documentation P-VTS Software Components Paradigm VTS for PC Paradigm VTS for Mac Current documentation includes the Paradigm Touchscreen Interface Setup Guide, Paradigm 18 Touchscreen Setup and Connect Guide, and the Paradigm Virtual Touchscreen Setup Guide. 2 Compatibility ETC Components This release is interoperable with the following ETC hardware and software: Unison Paradigm LightDesigner - Version software Unison Paradigm ControlDesigner - Version software Unison Paradigm Central Control Server - Version software Incompatibility Unison Paradigm Touchscreen stations are not compatible with Legacy Unison systems or Unison Light Manager Software. Note: P-TS18 hardware (rev 2) does not support software previous to version Unison Paradigm Virtual Touchscreen Software is not compatible with Legacy Unison systems, Unison Light Manager Software, or Unison Paradigm systems without a Paradigm Central Control Server (P-CCS). 3 Software Installation Instructions Note: Due to a change in core communications for version software, P-TS18 touchscreens cannot be upgraded from versions prior to by downloading files directly from the online P-CCS. To upgrade, the VTS installer must be downloaded from the P-CCS web interface and loaded using a USB drive. New Unison Paradigm Architectural Touchscreen Control Stations ship with the current version of software and should not require update before use. Future upgrades can be coordinated as needed with ETC Technical Services. Paradigm Virtual Touchscreen Software (P-VTS) is available from any online Paradigm Central Control Server (P-CCS). Additionally, the VTS application can be downloaded from the ETC website at Issues Corrected in v Lon P-TS7's watchdog during session sync if you adjust setup sliders P-LCD with inactivity page closes visible popups when it times out even if you're already on the inactivity page P-TS7 hardware doesn't handle overlapping popups and their transitions like P-LCD Locked Tabs cannot be unlocked by tapping or attempting to use them Lon-connected P-TS7 will freeze and reboot under heavy color picker use Some custom fonts are rendered as default Vera Sans A theme's default font is not rendered until that font is also selected for an object in CD Lon LCD lockup caused by time widget Button click noise does not work on first click for P-TS7 hardware Page transitions on pages with animated buttons glitch VTS will time out to default home page while timed event edit is still open P-LCD and P-TS7 spew to CDI and log if DHCP server is used, sends constant DHCP lease renewal Docked HH will not show correct dock firmware until it is rebooted View and edit of Timed Event exceptions is not supported from Touchscreen View and edit of Timed Event exceptions is not supported from P-VTS On Page Show action does not fire for default page on station initialization Dock needs manual reboot after firmware reload Wrong options given when editing timed event from LCD Hourly event edit on P-LCD requires extra start/end time that isn't used Make New Timed Event default single recurrence be today Errors table Device Type column text can overlap Error Display Text column until manual refresh Wired portable LCD can crash on rare occasions when attempting to go into the Setup menu Inactive tab text color is not properly applied when tab goes inactive Timed Event Recurrence Range end time needs to be 11:59 PM, not 12:00AM Timed Event edit from P-LCD does not allow adjustment of less common settings P-TSI and P-TS18 Release Note Page 3 of 5 Electronic Theatre Controls, Inc.
