1 Maryland FY2015 AmeriCorps State & National Grant Coversheet Below is a breakdown of the funding being awarded to Maryland. The state competitive funding and state formula funding will be granted to the Maryland Governor's Office on Service and Volunteerism, the governor-appointed State Service Commission. The Commission will, in turn, award grants to nonprofit organizations and/or public agencies responding to local needs across the state. In addition, funding is also being awarded to one or more national direct grantees, which are organizations headquartered in Maryland that support AmeriCorps members serving in more than one state.
