Description of Finance division In Finance, our vision is to become influential finance business partners. We aim to partner with the business to drive continued improvements in business performance for AMP, whilst also focusing on our customer centric strategy. The Finance function aligns with the overall AMP structure and is organised as follows: Business Facing CFOs - Responsible for providing highly commercial advice, identifying trends and levers for performance enhancements and developing responses and solutions to a range of commercial issues. The business facing CFOs sit on the Leadership Team of their partner business division as well as on the Finance Leadership Team. Group Functions - Responsible for taking an enterprise view on a range of finance and finance-related matters, including group performance, capital and funding, reporting and decision support, tax and finance shared services. Centres of Excellence - Areas of expertise covering actuarial, treasury and internal audit. The Finance structure has been developed to help make AMP a great place to work, one where we are all highly engaged in achieving the successful transformation of Finance and AMP. 2

3 Purpose of the role Full responsibility for the financial management and control of the Insurance and Superannuation business unit and AMP life companies in order to achieve target business performance outcomes. Embed finance as an influencial business partner to the Insurance & Superannuation leadership team. Main focus areas Key adviser to the Group Executive, Insurance and Superannuation on all strategic, financial and commercial decisions, working as part of the Leadership teams of these businesses. Oversee all aspects of the financial reporting and planning for the Insurance and Superannuation business unit as well as AMP life companies (AMP Life and NMLA). Ensure that Appointed Actuary responsibilities are met for AMP Life and NMLA. Accountable for financial statutory reporting to the AMP Life and NMLA Boards. Drive business performance through demonstrating a deep understanding of key drivers of revenue, profit and capital and providing insight and recommendations to drive performance through key levers Manage all Insurance and Superannuation specific information required for Group internal and external reporting. Drive a best practice approach to financial management across Insurance and Superannuation, integrating all sources of information to enable business insights and actions to be developed efficiently and effectively. Direct financial management techniques in Insurance and Superannuation to support optimal capital utilisation and business outcomes within a responsible risk/reward framework. Provide continual oversight of financial plans, forecasts and budgets and lead strategic change management as it relates to finance systems. Responsibility for Financial Condition Reports, all standard reporting to APRA, bonus and crediting rate recommendations, tactical and day to day management of critical ALM risks (policyholder and shareholder), including the appropriate use of tactical derivatives. Direct strategies to generate return on equity for Insurance and Superannuation, and develop a culture of continuous improvement and strong expense discipline to optimise the use of financial resources. Lead and support the Insurance and Superannuation finance team to provide professional business support to Insurance and Superannuation, through delivery of quality, budgets, forecasts, business intelligence analysis, financial advice and reporting, and risk management advice. Develop capability across the team to achieve mastery of influencial business partnering skills. Lead the team with a focus on talent management and development, striving for best practice and creating an environment where people achieve, grow and enjoy. Business Partner link with Group and Specialist Finance teams. 3

4 As a member of the Finance Leadership Team, contribute to the overall strategic finance leadership of AMP. Support AMP Transformation initiatives through Finance Transformation. Liaise with auditors and regulators. Experience required Experience in senior finance leadership positions. Ideally have life and/or wealth management experience. Experience working with an actuarial function and/or actuarial pricing. Experience in driving change and transformation, with a clear execution focus. Strong track record of adding commercial value. Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of how best practice financial and investment control environments are designed and can be tested to ensure they are operating effectively. Proven experience in presenting to and influencing senior leaders, including Boards of Directors. Qualification/s required Relevant tertiary qualifications. CA / CPA qualification.
