2 Sing a Joyful Song (God is Creator) Sing a joyful song to the King of kings Sing a joyful song, sing to Him Sing a joyful song to the King of creation. 3 If I Were a Dragonfly (God is Creator) If I were a dragonfly I d fly away in the bright blue sky; And if I were a pussy cat I d lie in the sun just getting fat. But I m not a dragonfly and I m not a cat For Jesus made me. If I were a big green frog, I d sleep all day in a hollow log; And if I were a bumble bee, I d buzz and buzz so happily; But I m not a frog, and I m not a bee For Jesus made me ME! 3

4 Wide Wide as the Ocean (God is Love) Wide, wide as the ocean Deep deep as the deepest sea; High high as the sky above is God my Father s love for me Wide wide as the ocean Deep deep as the deepest sea High high as the sky above is His love. When I wake up in the morning I m happy, To see the bright sunshine. Then I think of how the Father loves me, Sunshine or rain, yes all the time. My Heavenly Father loves me, So much more than anyone, His love will last forever; His love s been there since the world was begun. 4

5 Jesus is a Friend (God is Love) Jesus is a friend of mine, He s not so far away. Not way up in the sky above but close to me each day. Yes He s very near to me, He loves me as His child. He will never leave me, He loves me as His child. Refrain: Yes, Jesus is a friend of mine, He s with me every day Yes Jesus is a friend of mine I ll follow in His way. 5

6 My Dad (God is Wise) My Dad he is so clever, he knows just what to do, When my things get broken, he fixes them with glue. I m glad I have a Mum and Dad who knows much more than me; They guide me on the path of life so very patiently. God gave us kids a Mum and Dad to love us and to guide, Until we are grown up, they ll be right by our side. It s just like that with Father God. He s always there each day, To help us with our problems, He s never far away. God is my Heavenly Father, He knows what s best for me. He guides me on life s journey, my guide He ll always be. Father God is wisest, He knows just what to do In every situation, He will see me through. 6

7 Jesus Show us the Way (God is Wise) Every ship by night needs a guiding light, through a stormy sea. And a sailor needs a compass too For a long journey. This life is like a journey, as we travel on our way. We need to know which way to go in all we do and say. REFRAIN: Jesus, show us the way For your wisdom we pray You know much more than anyone So guide us as we travel on Jesus show us the way. The Bible is our road map, and Jesus is our guide. As we travel on the path of life, He s right by our side. No one could be wiser, than Father God above; He ll lead us on the path of life and tell us of His love. 7

8 Little Miss Muffet (God is Protector) Little Miss Muffet, sat on her tuffet, Reading her Simon and Sarah, Along came a spider and sat down beside her But now he could no longer scare her. Said Little Miss Muffet, I don t have to bluff it, I m really not frightened it s true, I ve something inside I don t want to hide Could I please tell it to you? I ve found out today of the wonderful way, My Jesus can guide and direct me. When danger is near, I don t have to fear Because He is there to protect me. Verse 4 I read in the Bible how often we re liable To do things that make Jesus sad. Yet when we believe, His love we receive, And then we can call God our Dad. 8

9 I Don t Have to Worry (God is Protector) I don t have to worry, That s what Jesus said. Angels watching over me, When I m in my bed. Refrain: He s watching over me each day, Protecting me in every way. I don t have to worry, On the darkest night, I don t have to worry, Jesus is the light. 10 Jesus You are my King (God is Powerful) Born in a lowly manger, A simple bed of straw. Who would ever think He s be our King forever more, But wise men came to worship Him, They came from lands afar. They knew the Heavenly King they find By following the star. Refrain: And Jesus you are my King. You re King and Lord of all. King and Lord of all the earth You ll reign forever more. Jesus was crucified, The King of the Jews, they said. But soon they saw His might and power When He raised up from the dead. Some day He s coming back, Crowned in majesty, He ll reign as King of all the earth For all eternity. 10

12 Nicodemus (God is Truth) Nicodemus was a Pharisee Who cam by night very quietly When no one was watching, When everything was dark He came to Jesus with a question to ask. He didn t want His friends to know he was there, But he knew this teacher had something to share. Jesus spoke with such wisdom, so surely He d know How to find God s kingdom, which way to go. He s seen the miracles and people set free. The Son of God surely Jesus must be. How can I be a part of the Kingdom? thought he, How can I live forever eternally? 12

13 The Good Shepherd (God is Truth) Do you know the voice of Jesus, know Him when He speaks? Do you know the voice of Jesus, the Shepherd of the sheep? Would you know the voice of Jesus, know His voice today? Or would you follow strangers who walk a different way? Jesus is the Shepherd, He knows His sheep by name. Jesus is the Shepherd, every day the same. I know that I belong to Him, I m in His special care, I wouldn t follow strangers, but Jesus anywhere. Jesus is the only way, He is the truth I know, Jesus is the only way, the Bible tells me so. Jesus is the only way to Father God above; When Jesus lives within my heart I m walking in His love. 13

14 Holy Holy (God is Pure) Holy, holy, pure and holy God our Father is so pure. He is kind and true and loving God our Father is so pure. Can a child be pure and holy, Good enough to live with Him? Only Jesus makes us clean inside, Opening our hearts to Him. Jesus wants us as His children, He wants to forgive our sin, To be our best friend forever, So that we may live with him. Verse 4 Heaven is a holy city, Walls of crystal, streets of gold. There I know I ll live forever Shining as His special jewel. 14

15 Give me Ears (God is Pure) Give me ears to hear you Lord, Give me eyes to see, So that your words dear Lord, Find a place in me. Lord let me honour you In word and deed Lord when you re with me you are everything I need. Give me ears to hear you Lord, Give me eyes to see, So that your words dear Lord, Find a place in me. 16 Jigsaws (God is Patient) Doing jigsaws every day, Trying to pass the time away, Slowly, slowly, bit by bit, I m sure I ll get this piece to fit. We need patience every day, At home, and school and work and play, Patience in the jobs we do And patience when we make things too. Making pancakes is such fun. I like to eat them when they re done; Oh but what a great big mess! We all do things we shouldn t do. He waits for us to come to Him. To say we re sorry for our sin. God is patient with us too. He s waiting there for me and you. 17 The Waiting Father (God is Patient) There was a man who had a son, who wanted to leave home. Please share your fortune now with me, the city streets I ll roam. And so the son he traveled on to the city far away, And soon his fortune was all gone. Now what would father say? Way of in the city it was no fun without a single dime; The son sent to a pig farmer and asked to spend some time. Back home the father waited, he watched out every day. He knew one day he s see his son coming back his way. Well home the son he came one day as sorry as could be, But his father had forgiven him and welcomed him for tea. And God our Father waits for us if we stray away from Him; It doesn t matter how bad we ve been, He ll still forgive our sin. 17

18 What Can I Give? (God is a Servant) What can I give to Jesus? What can I give to Jesus? I ll give Him my heart. I ve made up my mind To be His servant forever. I ll give my hands to Jesus I ll give my hands to Jesus Hands that can help Somebody in need I ll give my hands to Jesus. I ll give my lips to Jesus I ll give my lips to Jesus. 22 The Journey (God is Provider) Have you ever been on a long journey, Through the desert in the dust and the heat? With only the clothes on your back, And the sandals on your feet? Well the children of Israel were traveling From Egypt to the promised land They couldn t buy food or clothing But God stretched out His hand. What s this food you give us? We ve had manna til it comes from our ears! But still the Lord provided For just on forty years. We want meat, they said, not manna! So the Lord sent a flock of quail. They had more meat than they could handle, The birds they fell like hail. But still they kept complaining Til they got to the promised land, And their clothes they didn t wear out, And their shoes stayed like new across the sand. And so the Lord provided For His people in every way, And He still provides for us you know When we walk with Him each day. 22

23 One Little Lunch (God is Provider) Just one little boy and one little lunch Just two little fish had he, And five little loaves of bread you see, Just enough for a picnic tea. Well what can you do with one little lunch And all these people to feed? But the little boy gave his lunch away To Jesus his friend indeed. Then Jesus shared the loaves around, And the fish He gave out too. Five thousand lunches from one little lunch! What a wonderful thing to do. Verse 4 As the little boy sat and ate his lunch, The lunch he had shared with a friend, He knew that this man Jesus loved With a love that would never end. 23

24 An Instrument of Peace (God is Peace) Lord make me an instrument Of your peace. Where there is hate, let me sow love. Where there is injury, Lord let me sow Forgiveness deep as the flowing sea. Where there is doubt, let me soe faith, Where there is fear, let me sow hope. Where there is darkness, let me sow light, Where there is pain let me sow joy. O loving Lord, may I not ask, To be understood, but to understand, Or to be served, but to only serve, Or to be loved, but to love man. Verse 4 For it s in giving that we receive, It s in forgiving that we re forgiven, And it s in dying that we are born, To eternal life, to eternal life. 24

25 Like a Candle Burning (God is Peace) Like a candle burning, So is my love for you my Lord. You are the brightness every morning. Eternal flame my shield and sword. Jesus, Saviour, Prince of Peace, So humble in a manger born. You came to earth, new life to bring us, Light to the world on Christmas morn. 25
