1 Executive Leadership & Coaching Program Program Application OVERVIEW National Urban Fellows is proud to announce the launch of the Executive Leadership & Coaching (ELC) Program. Developed in partnership with the American Express Foundation, the ELC supports NUF Alumni and partners pursuing executive level positions in public service. PROGRAM DESCRIPTION The ELC program is a high impact, individualized leadership program focused on executive coaching, networking, and career advancement. This year s cohort of diverse professional from across the country will each receive the specialized training and ongoing support needed to position them for success in senior leadership roles. APPLICANT CRITERIA Mid management to senior leadership experience within the public sector. Applicants should also have a demonstrated commitment to public service leadership, experience managing a department or initiative, making strategic decisions, and aspirations for a position of higher leadership authority in 3 5 years. APPLICANT COMMITMENT Each applicant must commit to full participation in all program elements including: Completing a 360 leadership assessment which requires feedback from your professional network. Attending all forums from start to finish (9:00am 6:00pm), webinars, executive coaching sessions and other time needed (approx. 10 hours / month). Willingness to co invest in your leadership development: Program Fee* and travel costs to NYC.
2 Program Description The Executive Leadership and Coaching (ELC) program is a high impact, individualized leadership program focused on executive coaching, networking, and career advancement. Program components include a 360 assessment tool, inperson live forums, monthly webinars, networking opportunities, executive coaching, as well as the development of an Individual Leadership Development Plan. Participants also become well versed in National Urban Fellows Inclusive Leadership Model the practice of leadership that carefully includes the contributions of all stakeholders in the community or organization.

Participate in web based seminars (may occur during business hours). Complete the 360 pre assessment (by June 30) and 360 post assessment (by Jan 30), which include a self assessment, a minimum of 15 observer assessments, and an executive feedback session to discuss results. Complete an Individual Leadership Development Plan (ILDP). Participate in 100% of program evaluation activities, opinion surveys and/or focus groups. Support National Urban Fellows and its mission through continued engagement and/or monetary support.
5 COMMITMENT TO CO-INVESTING I understand that If accepted, I will be required to contribute a co investment of $1,000 (NUF Alumni) or $1,250 (Members of Partner Organizations). I understand that it is my responsibility for travel, transportation and other incidental costs associated with my participation in live forums (held in New York City). NUF will provide meals (breakfast and lunch) during in person forums.
