2 RESULT OF THE ALL ABOUT CONSUMER CAMPAIGN (20 TH DEC ST MAR 2014) TNT Japan successfully achieved almost all KPIs set for the campaign period Almost all ad placements and editorial strongly exceeded expectations - In particular, All About tieup Banners (461%), MSN editorial page (845%), Livedoor editorial page (321%) and Naver Matome NTpage (334%) Visitors booked for travel to NT from Tokyo through 6 agency partners during campaign = 1,283

3 MOU CO-OP Campaign with QANTAS The Always-on Campaign digital advertising continue to run following the main burst of activity. SEM and Display Ads are being implemented to enhance the purchase of Qantas trips As an in-store promotion, a B5-sized 8-page mini guidebook (3-pages for NT) have been distributed for use as an insertion into H.I.S. brochures across its 200 branches in eastern Japan (Feb Sep 2014).

4 TA CO-OP PROMOTION (TABI SALAD) Tourism NT Japan worked with Tourism Australia Japan to feature Uluru for eleven minutes of exposure on nationwide TV program Tabi Salad. This special TV program featured Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Parks, Sails in the Desert Hotel, Uluru Camel Tour, Sounds of Silence and Uluru Motorcycle Tours. Tabi Salad Ad Value: Approx. A$1,506,000 (JPY135,540,000) Viewer Ratings: 7.1million (Tokyo) and 11.5 million (Osaka) Total number of participants in the Tabi Salad give-away campaign: 282,692 (164,673 for Australia travel and 118,019 for Wine and Beef) Additional exposure was also gained with a full-colour ad in Asahi Newspaper (Tokyo and Osaka morning edition), as a call to action. Asahi Newspaper Ad Value: Approx. A$ 393,700 (JPY34,732,500) Circulation: 4,315,272 copies (Tokyo) and 2,222,175 copies (Osaka) Tie-up Partner: JALPAK (1/3 page of tour product ad)

5 Tourism NT Japan team succeeded in securing minutes of exposure in Great View Trails of the World, a very popular Japanese TV program on BS TBS. Great View Trails of the World A popular TV program featuring travel destinations, broadcast every Friday 9 10pm on BS TBS in Japan. It features great scenic views from around the world. Uluru and The Ghan were featured in August The program focused on Darwin & the Top End. Details TV Program: Great View Trails of the World ( Planned Air Date: July 25 th from 21:00 on BS TBS Featured locations: Darwin City, including shopping areas, restaurants, Mindil Beach, Crocosaurus Cove at sunset and scenes at East Point, and the boat cruse at Katharine Gorge including a tent camp site. Expected Ad Value: Total ad value of this exciting TV program will be approx. A$ 272,000 (JPY2.4 million) and the section about NT part will be minutes long giving it a value of approx. A$385,400 (JPY34,000,000). Average audience rating: approximately 5 million.

When we post images of dynamic scenery with activity information, the number of likes seems to increase.

7 JALPAK CO-OP A 1-page advertorial was placed in the April edition of AGORA, the in-flight magazine for JAL s first-class passengers and top executive JAL card members (Circulation: 730,000). The 50 th anniversary NT package tour was introduced on the same page Due to the suspension of QF between SYD - AYQ and fluctuations in exchange rates, the average fee for their tours to NT increased about AU$850 compared to last year In order to recoup sales to NT, AYQ product prices for Jul-Oct 2014 were revised and marketed as on sale Sales for tours in Jul - Sep show some good signs of recovery and will result in better sales than the same period last year

8 AJBCC Darwin Conference Japan Airlines is going to operate a one-way charter flight from Darwin to Narita for the return of Japanese delegates after the conference TNT Japan revised the conference flyer, adding a new logo. The Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry distributed them to potential Japanese delegates at end of April In order to utilize the empty flight from Narita to Darwin, JTB World Vacations decided to create a package tour utilizing the empty run of the flight from Narita to Darwin

9 WING TRAVEL AUSTRALIA: SCHOOL TRIP EDITION Wing Travel is a major travel trade media in Japan The advertorial, which is focused on school trips in Australia, was published on June 23 rd and was distributed to approximately 8,900 subscribers, over 80% of whom work at wholesalers, travel agencies and airlines Sounds of Starlight Theatre and Mary River Wildness Retreat were introduced as a recommended activity and a recommended accommodation for school trips Wing Travel also made the information available online by uploading the edition onto its website

10 JAPAN TRADE FAM TRIP Dates: June 2014 Participants : 5 travel agency representatives from Japan and 2 ITO representatves Theme: Promoting a combination itinerary between AYQ and ASP in order to increase the number of nights stay in NT and to hedge risks of reducing flight connectivity to AYQ Itinerary: Day 1: Leave Narita and spend overnight on flight Day 2: Arrive in AYQ via SYD, enjoy Kata Tjuta/Uluru sunset and barbecue dinner Day 3: Uluru sunrise and Base walk, Dot painting workshop, hotel inspection and Sounds of Silence Day 4: Full day excursion to Kings Canyon and transfer to ASP Day 5: Alice Springs city sights inspection (Anzac Hill, Telegraph Station Historical Reserve, Royal Flying Doctor Service and Todd Mall) Leave ASP via SYD Day 6: Arrive at Narita

11 AUSTRALIA TOURISM EXCHANGE Date : May 2014 Venue : Cairns Convention Centre, QLD Number of Japanese Buyers : 40 including ITOs from Sydney TNT Japan Trade Director participated in the entire event from the TNT team dinner through to the farewell function Made 31 business appointments and played the role of interpreter between operators and Japanese buyers who required communication assistance Appointments also included Japan Airline, JTB Australia, Tourism and Events QLD, Tourism Australia Japan and Japanese travel media Activity Plans for 2014/15 were reviewed with TNT HQ
