1 DISEASE-MODIFYING ANTIRHEUMATIC DRUG THERAPY FOR RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS APPLICATIONS OBJECTIVE Purpose of Measure: ELIGIBLE POPULATION Which members are included? STANDARD OF CARE NCQA APPROVED CODES HEDIS (Administrative) To ensure members diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) were dispensed at least one prescription for a disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drug (DMARD) Members 18 years and older as of December 31st of the measurement year, excluding those who have ever been diagnosed with HIV or had a pregnancy diagnosis during the measurement year Adults diagnosed with RA should be prescribed at least one DMARD as part of a comprehensive treatment plan. Please see code table. The medical record must document which DMARD was prescribed and the date. A copy of the prescription given to the member is acceptable. Samples of all medications distributed to members should be documented in the medical record.
