3 Understanding that the rising cost of healthcare has a negative impact on profitability and productivity. Endeavor Rehab-Physical Therapy has created a system that reduces the cost of healthcare and increase employee productivity. Through our development of a Total Wellness approach to healthcare. We have developed a system that focuses on Wellness Prevention and Physical Therapy which is more cost effective than surgical intervention. Our system is broken down into three levels: 1. Injury Prevention and Litigation Protection Ergonomics assessment is also available as our therapist have received training from the internationally known ISR Institute, the Industrial Safety and Rehabilitation from Houma, Louisiana. An ergonomic assessment that includes both research and of both clinical and behavioral studies Post Offer Hire Testing, Fit for Duty, and Return to Work Testing can be developed with the assistance of ISR to dramatically reduce cost and liability from litigation. Companies that use our services currently are Acadian Ambulance, Halliburton, Exxon, and Chevron to name a few

Wellness Prevention and Fitness Conditioning Development of a wellness program and or availability for employees to train at our facility to loose weight, reduce stress, prevent injuries Employees can take part in our Diabetes and Hypertension Fitness program which our personal trainers are also licensed physical therapist in the state of Texas that understands the precautions and contradictions when working with this population Monthly seminars to educate the employees on healthcare issues, diabetes, fitness, and weight loss at our facility and brown bag lunches with topical discussion to inform your employees 3. Physical Therapy and Hand Therapy Intervention Physical Therapy intervention from highly qualified and skilled clinicians to treat back injuries, neck injuries, ankle, shoulder, and the entire musculoskeletal system. More cost effect than surgery and lowers Employers Workers Compensation expense Hand Therapy intervention by Certified Hand Therapist for carpal tunnel, tennis elbow and other ailments Ergonomic assessments by certified ergonomic specialist that are also clinically trained

5 Direct Cost of Care: Direct Cost are cost of all insurance claims for any injury or illness Indirect Cost: Are the cost needed to cover the cost of hiring temporary workers, additional training, etc. OHSA has developed a formula to estimate indirect cost, which uses a multiplier. Multiply the Direct cost by the multiplier using the table below: If Direct Cost are: Multiplier: $0-$2, $3,000-$4, $5,000-$9, >$10, Total Cost: Total cost are obtained by adding your company s direct cost to its indirect costs Impact on Profitability: To determine the true impact on profitability divide the total cost by the company s profit margin. This figure would then represent the sales that is needed to pay for an occupational injury

6 Classic Examples of Cost to Employers: Carpal Tunnel: Approximately $6000 of direct cost; Using the OSHA table, we then multiply the Indirect cost to gain an additional cost of $7200 which then makes the total cost of $13,200 to the employer, but the effects on company s profitability whose profit margin is 5% is $264,000 in additional sales required Back Surgery: Approximately $30,000 of direct cost; Using the OSHA table, we then multiply the Indirect cost to gain an additional cost of $33, 000 which then makes the total cost of $63,200 to the employer, but the effects on company s profitability whose profit margin is 5% is $1,246,000 in additional sales required Shoulder Surgery: Approximately $12,000 of direct cost; Using the OSHA table, we then multiply the Indirect cost to gain an additional cost of $13,000 which then makes the total cost of $25,200 to the employer, but the effects on company s profitability whose profit margin is 5% is $504,000 in additional sales required Obesity and Overweight: If a person with Obesity spends approximately $2000 a year with physician visits and other health related cost; Using the OSHA table, we then multiply the Indirect cost to gain an additional cost of $9000 which then makes the total cost of $11,000 to the employer, but the effects on company s profitability whose profit margin is 5% is $220,000 in additional sales required
