It can be deleted as you complete the form. DEPARTMENT/PROGRAM: Architectural Drafting & Estimating Technology COLLEGE MISSION: The North Dakota State College of Science is a comprehensive, associate degree granting college founded on a tradition of quality and integrity. We deliver learner-focused education through a unique and evolving collegiate experience. Using innovative delivery strategies, NDSCS anticipates and responds to statewide and regional needs by providing access to occupational/technical programs, transfer programs, and workforce training. PROGRAM PURPOSE: To prepare men and women for a career as a drafting and/or estimating technician in the construction industry and provide them with learning experiences that will enable them to advance in their career and keep up with the fast pace of the industry. IDENTIIED STUDENT OUTCOMES: 1. Students will be competent to perform entry level architectural drafting skills to include quality architectural sketching; accurate working drawings utilizing both AutoCAD and Revit Architecture; and architectural presentations. 2. Students will demonstrate their knowledge of construction estimating. 3. Students will demonstrate their knowledge of building codes, structural design, materials, practices, and procedures used throughout the construction industry. 4. Students will demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills. 5. Students will demonstrate interpersonal skills in order to collaborate, interact, and effectively work with others. I. ENTRY LEVEL ASSESSMENT AND PLACEMENT The Architectural Drafting & Estimating Technology curriculum has no additional entry-level assessment requirements beyond the North Dakota State College of Science English and Math general education requirements. In order for students to be successful in completing this program, the department supports enrollment in development courses if they are required to do so. 1

2 II. MID-LEVEL ASSESSMENT See the following PROGRAM: Architectural Drafting & Estimating Technology DATE: Student Outcomes 1. Students will be competent to perform entry level architectural drafting skills to include quality architectural sketching; accurate working drawings utilizing both AutoCAD and Revit Architecture; and architectural presentations. 2. Students will demonstrate their knowledge of construction estimating. ormative Means Ongoing written and oral feedback leading to working drawings for portfolio. Estimating Standards Review given after Unit 18 in 144 and again at Mid-Term in 241. Summative Means Portfolio assembled by the student and reviewed by the faculty. Post test results for the Drafting area to be compared to bench mark test scores. Skills Connect Assessment Endof-Program standardized test results. Cumulative Performance Test in 241. Post test results for the Estimating area to be compared to bench mark test scores. eedback Loop aculty will annually evaluate portfolios and share results with advisory committee members to determine aculty will evaluate the results of the Post-Test and End-of-Program test results to determine program strengths and weaknesses. The Estimating Standards Review test will be given to all AD&E students in 144 after they have completed Unit 18 and the same test would be given at Mid-Term in 241. Summative Means Portfolio including structural assignments and worksheets assembled by the student and reviewed by the faculty. Post test results for the General area to be compared to bench mark test scores. Skills Connect Assessment Endof-Program standardized test results. 133 oral report. 231 oral report CAAP Writing Assessment test. Soft Skill Self-perception Surveys 1 st year and 2 nd year. 144, 241, and 223 peer evaluations 144, 241, and 223 faculty evaluations (Same form used for all evaluations) eedback Loop aculty will annually evaluate portfolios and share results with advisory committee members to determine aculty will evaluate the results of the Post-Test and End-of-Program test results to determine program strengths and weaknesses. 133 and 231 oral report evaluation sheets will be provided to Dept. Chair by faculty for comparison. (Spring Semester) CAAP score will be collected by Dept. Chair and used as a base line. 1 st year Self-perception surveys completed in 110 and filed. 2 nd year Self-perception surveys completed in 242 and filed. 144, 241, & 223 peer and faculty evaluations collected by instructor and placed in same file. All data ratings will be compiled, averaged and compared. Information to be shared with faculty, students and advisory board. (Spring Semester) 3
