2 Who is Mayan Families? US-based 501.(c).(3), non-profit organization and a registered charity in Guatemala. Officially recognized by both countries. Located in the village of Panajachel, in the Guatemalan highlands, on the shores of Lake Atitlan Mission: Provide opportunities and assistance to the indigenous and impoverished people of Guatemala, through education and community development programs 2

15 Profile: Cristobalina Electrocuted by live wire, 15-year old Cristobalina was confined to a wheelchair with amputated arms. Mayan Families secured medical treatment and rehab. She can now walk. 15
