3 OVERALL PURPOSE Improve understanding of how HE is and can be engaged in pursuing goals related to Education for All Promote mutual learning between the Swedish HEI:s themselves and between them and their African partners in collaborative capacity building Organize a conference in Africa 2015 together with African partners
4 SUHF wants to participate in the IAU (International Association of Universities) project Higher Education and Education for All (HEEFA) as a part of UNESCO project Education for All (EFA) A committee was appointed in the beginning of 2014 with representatives from Göteborgs university, Uppsala university, Lund university, Karlstad university, Dalarna University and Malmö university Inventory of ongoing collaboration between Swedish and African HEI Open national workshop in Stockholm 4 juni 2014 Planning of a conference in Africa beginning of 2015

10 Globalization is generating new wealth and resulting in the greater interconnectedness and interdependence of economies and societies. Driven by the revolution in information technologies and the increased mobility of capital, it has the potential to help reduce poverty and inequality throughout the world, and to harness the new technologies for education.
