2 INTRODUCTION This report is prepared for the participants of EyafExpo 2011 to present the summary results of the visitor research carried out during December 1-4, 2011 at Istanbul Expo Center Istanbul- TURKEY. THE PURPOSE OF THE RESEARCH The purpose of the research is to determine the demographic characteristics of the visitors along with their general evaluation of the fair. THE METHODOLOGY The results of the research are based on the survey carried out face to face by randomly selected 400 visitors distributed equally between the dates and the visiting hours of the fair and the records gathered from the fair entrance forms. GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE FAIR INNAUGURATION AND ACTIVITIES The fair was inaugurated by Aylin Çiftçi General Director for Services for the Disabled and the Elderly of Ministry of Family and Social Policies, and Metin Şentürk- President of the World Disability Foundation. Activities that visitors and exhibitors attended with interest were organized during the EyafExpo INFORMATION ON EXHIBITORS AND COMPANY REPRESENTATIVES A total of 182 company and company representatives have participated in the EyafExpo 2011 from 31 countries. These Countries were; Austria Denmark Hong Kong Portugal Thailand Belgium England Ireland Russia Turkey Brazil Finland Israel South Korea U.S.A. Bulgaria France Italy Spain Canada Germany Japan Sweden China Greece Norway Switzerland Czech Republic Holland Poland Taiwan
3 VISITORS INFORMATION GENERAL DISTRIBUTION OF VISITORS 92,7 % of the visitors are professional visitor as; responsible for the general management, sole decision makers within the company and disabled people. 4 INTERNATIONAL VISITORS 729 trade professionals from 34 countries visited EyafExpo DOMESTIC VISITORS INFORMATION VISITORS PROFILE The people who needs special treatments and aids and also their relatives, Old aged people, disadvantaged, handicap people and their relatives, Doctors, nurses, physiotherapist specialists, psychologist, etc. the specialists and academic searchers on disabled people (medical science, law, education, architecture) Social Services Rehabilitation and education centers Special education associations agencies Guiding search centers Civil Social Associations Senior executives Associations, foundations and private sector companies Public and the local authorities Solutions partners The sector leaders EYAFEXPO 2011 domestic visitors, 76,2% from Istanbul, 23,8% was from 63 other cities in Turkey. 5 Professional visitors from 8 cities in Turkey visited EYAFEXPO Transportation expenses cover by organization committee. These Cities were; Ankara, İzmir, Bursa, Çorum, Gaziantep, Adana, Lefkoşa and Kayseri. Visitors view of the exhibition. 96,4% of the visitors have positive aspects about the fair; % Since it is the biggest event on industry in Turkey. 96,2 To have information on new technologies 99,1 Because of the good fair organization 94,7 To see all products together ,4 % of visitors declared that planning to visit EYAFEXPO 2012 which will be held at December 6-9, 2012, Istanbul Expo Center, Istanbul TURKEY. 6 SPECIAL SERVICES About 4320 disabled people came to the fair from their homes with the special cars provided by organization team, also ring buses are used to carry visitors from Istanbul Expo Center subway station to the fair venue. Conference program held during the fair by free of charge. 15 disabled people found new job by attending the career program held during the fair. EYAFEXPO 11 PROMOTION PROGRAM EYAFEXPO 11 in MEDIA Large number of advertisements and news about the fair has been published on newspapers and magazines. Fair invitations also distributed as an insert in the main magazines of the industry.
