KEY PURPOSE OF POSITION The Website Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Digital Marketing Specialist in managing Save the Children Australia s website and marketing execution online utilising social media, mobile and other emerging digital mediums, in line with organisational strategy. The position is accountable for consistently updating internal website content, online content quality control and building, internal training on use of online tools, website and visitor analysis and maintaining all external online listings and directories. These activities may include the direct involvement/production or coordination of online media, search engine marketing, web design and optimisation, web marketing and other activities that will promote the organisation s website and campaigns across Australia. Working closely with the broader Marketing Team, the Website Coordinator also supports continuous integration across online and offline activities.
2 COMPETENCY KEY RESULT AREAS/RESPONSIBILITES KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS PLANNING & ORGANISATION Manage homepage calendar including: managing booking and rotation of promotion of events, appeals, and campaigns in line with national marketing calendar Timely delivery of online information. Web conversion targets. Broader awareness targets. Maintain relevant and timely written, visual and multimedia content on the Save the Children website, including but not limited to program information, country information, emergency updates, appeal and fundraising product information. Quality control of content (grammar and up to date). Integrate content and online elements produced by other Save the Children members into the Australian website. Search for new and update existing online directories, listings and profiles of Save the Children. WEB MAINTENANCE Maintain URL registrations. Ensure ongoing updates to existing website content via Joomla CMS (programs, campaigns, donation products, contact details etc.) Edit written content, images and videos for online use. Upload videos onto youtube channel. Ensure core brand messages are communicated appropriately via the website content. Ensure content maximises potential SEO areas of opportunity to improve Save the Children s awareness online. Ensure all links within the website are maintained. Ensure tone and language used in website content is consistent with Save the Children s personality and voice. Maintain close working relationships with numerous stakeholders including PRAD, Emergency Programs, Fundraising, Partnerships and Marketing (head office and States) to ensure a consistent and collaborative approach to the organisation s website. Web traffic targets. Web conversion targets. Website content is professional, accurate and updated in a timely manner. High levels of customer service to both internal parties is maintained, including prompt follow up of reported complaints/queries and/or issues.
3 INTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS MANAGEMENT Collect and search for online content from other Save the Children member websites. Assist the marketing team with an immediate online response when an emergency strikes. Communicate regularly with states, programs, country offices, PRAD, fundraising, to ensure website content is up to date, relevant and leveraging the online space. Plan and conduct training sessions to build online skills and understanding within the organisation Work with members of Save the Children International to ensure key information is integrated into our website. Timely delivery of information online. Feedback from internal stakeholders. Communication with internal and external stakeholders is conducted in a highly professional and timely manner at all times. 5 PERSON SPECIFICATION Key Selection Criteria Skills/Abilities: Online content management skills. Skills in editing of content for use online (copy, photos, video). Website analysis (Google analytics) skills. Highly developed verbal and written communication skills. Proven project management skills. Ability to liaise with a diverse range of people, stakeholders and customers. Strong time management and organisational skills. Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. High levels of attention to detail and quality. Knowledge/Experience: Previous experience in a professional marketing capacity. Demonstrated knowledge of and proven experience in internal communications management & continuous improvement. Demonstrated understanding of social media & the online space and how this integrates with traditional marketing. Demonstrated understanding of and proven experience in website design, development & editing. Demonstrated understanding of SEO and SEM. Working knowledge of HTML, CSS and/or Dreamweaver, Joomla (or similar). Working knowledge of Adobe creative suite. Working knowledge of Google Analytics and Adwords. Qualifications/Accreditations: Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, essential. Web or design qualifications/accreditations, highly desirable.
