4 Our Audiology Team Hears You Audiologists are trained hearing health professionals who evaluate and identify hearing loss and hearing disorders dealing with the ear. They are also skilled in the rehabilitation process of hearing loss, which includes evaluation and fitting of hearing aids. NWOHC audiologists are certified, Doctorate level, experts and members of national associations like: American Academy of Audiology Academy of Dispensing Audiologists American Speech and Hearing Association Credentials are important, also essential is listening to patients regarding their personal challenges and offering solutions to improve their quality of life. Randa spent many years as a faculty member at the Medical University of Ohio teaching aspiring medical and audiology students. Bachelor of Arts in Speech and Hearing - The University of Toledo (1979) Master of Science - University of Michigan (Cum Laude in 1981). Doctorate of Audiology (Au.D.) - A.T. Still University (2005) Randa s postgraduate studies include pediatrics, vestibular system and hearing aid technology. She has written a chapter on Hearing Loss with Aging, in the Clinics in Geriatric Medicine and also reviewed other related books on audiology.
5 Shelly Horvat, Shelly, a practicing audiologist for over 20 years, is skilled at setting patients and families at ease with her gentle touch and relaxed approach. Still University (2008) Shelly s research interest focused on Probe Tube Microphone Replacement, which was published in Audiology Journal. Dianna Randolph, Dianna, organized and timely, provides accurate recommendations to patients. She joined Northwest Ohio Hearing Clinic in 2005, but has been practicing audiology for over 13 years.
