Summer at Benilde Summer Learning Programs Personal Training for the Brain! Each day at St. Benilde School, we take many steps to ensure that your child receives a highly personalized education centered around their unique learning needs. During the school day, your child is able to access high quality content through our core curriculum materials, including Superkids, Eureka Math, and more. Instruction is provided in large group, small group, and one-on-one environments, driven by data from our STAR benchmarks. We then blend in digital learning resources - such as Accelerated Reader, Accelerated Math, and Xtra Math - that adapt to your child s ability level and help them better build their base fluencies in literacy and numeracy. Children with learning needs that require a higher degree of specialized instruction benefit from our Literacy and Enrichment Labs - and all children benefit from smaller teacher/student ratios during lab times. Finally, teachers are available to work after school with students until 3:30 PM. All of this is included in the cost of tuition! With summer coming, we want to provide you with even more options to take your child s learning to the next level. We have worked diligently to build additional academic programs for children that are fee-based and can allow children more time to build their core academic skills, work to erase gaps or delays in their learning, earn recovery credits for classes they failed the prior year, and even accelerate their learning. Please see attached for more on our current offerings and for how to register!

Face-to-Face Tutoring What we do... SBS provides high quality tutoring services to children using our distinctive data-driven approach to learning. Our programs are designed to benefit students of all levels of proficiency. We will assess your child's unique level of readiness and design a personal tutoring program to increase your child's literacy and/or numeracy skills. We offer both one-on-one and small group options! How we do it Complete the form below (or sign up online at and indicate whether or not you prefer one-on-one or small group options. We will also make a recommendation after testing regarding which option we ultimately believe is best for your child. 2. We will use your child's most recent STAR benchmarks to create a personalized tutoring program. For students who attend another school, a testing time will be scheduled for your child to come and complete the STAR test. 3. An SBS teacher will be assigned to your child and they will meet with you to review the results and schedule the tutoring times. Children will be scheduled to have between one and three sessions per week depending upon their needs and time constraints. 4. Tutoring is ordinarily paid one month in advance through FACTS. The first payment is made directly to St. Benilde School via check, money order, or credit card. 5. In addition to their pre-test, your child will be assessed using STAR periodically during their program. These results will be used to measure progress and alter the tutoring program if necessary. You as a parent will receive a copy of your child's STAR results. 6. You and your child will have periodic meetings with your child's tutor to discuss progress, give feedback into program quality, and request modifications to the program if necessary. 7. A minimum of one week cancelation notice is required. Refunds will not be made for missed tutoring sessions. Face-to-Face Tutoring Fees One-on-One Tutoring Services Two-on-One Tutoring Services Three-on-One Tutoring Services $40 per session $35 per session $30 per session

Individualized Tutoring Via SBS Online St. Benilde Online What We do SBS Online offers an affordable summer tutoring option for families that provides a dedicated teacher to guide your child's online program and gives your child the opportunity to work on their areas of need on their own time. How We Do It 1. We will discuss with you your child s academic needs in any of the following: mathematics, vocabulary, reading, grammar, writing, science, and social studies. 2. We can serve children who need remediation, enrichment, or more challenging experiences, including a high school readiness program. 3. Your child will be assigned to a summer-long tutoring course with a qualified SBS teacher. 4. The teacher will assign your child modules to complete that are designed to help them build the content-area skills they need to become more successful in the classroom. Your child can complete these modules at their own pace. During and at the end of each module, the teacher will assess your child s performance and use that information to assign new modules or modify the existing module. 5. The teacher will keep regularly scheduled "office hours" to talk with you and your child by phone, , or web chat. Online Tutoring Fees Summer Tuition $25/week

RAD ReADers This reading mini-camp run by school literacy specialist Mrs. Susan Connick runs eight sessions over three weeks in June and July. Students are placed in learning groups of no more than 10 based upon their reading readiness level as measured by our STAR tests. Each session lasts an hour and a half. The groups will focus on being Ready to Read for emerging readers, Awesome Analyzers for building comprehension skills, and Diligent Diggers for advanced readers. Families must apply by May 15 for the June session; and by June 15 for the July 18-August 3 session. RAD ReADers Fees RAD ReADers Program Fees $200/Program Discount for Summer at Benilde Camp Kids $15

Summer School For students who need to recover lost credits or who must otherwise receive remediation before being promoted to the next grade level, our summer school programs are skills-driven and personalized to your child s needs to maximize learning. We offer on campus and online options. Summer School Fees Summer School - On Campus $450 Summer School - On Line $400
