WHERE TO SUBMIT YOUR ASSIGNMENT Communications Room, 10 DK 02, Duke of Kent Building All essays and practice portfolios, including retrievals, must be submitted by 4.00 pm, unless otherwise directed, on the agreed date. No exceptions can be made, unless an extension has been agreed. Work should be submitted in the locked assessment boxes in the Communications Room (10DK02) on Level 2 of the Duke of Kent Building. You must sign the Submission Sheet, giving details of name and module, to record submission. If you are unable to bring the assignment personally, another student may bring it on your behalf but they must sign their own name alongside your name. Should you opt to post your assignment, then we recommend you use a special delivery service where your parcel can be tracked. Alternatively, you should obtain a certificate of posting from the Post Office. Address the envelope to the Examinations
6 Office at the Duke of Kent building. It must be received by the agreed submission date. All submissions must be accompanied with a signed carbon copy feedback sheet; found in the Communications Room. Without the signed declaration of own work your script cannot be processed. NOTIFICATION OF EXAM RESULTS Unratified Feedback For first attempts at essays and portfolios (but not examinations) unratified feedback is normally made available 20 working days after submission. The date will be listed in your module handbook but if not you should check with the module leader. The feedback sheet, not the work itself, can be collected from Reception, on Level 0 of the Duke of Kent building, from noon on the relevant day and then at any time when Reception is open 8.00 am to 4.30 pm Monday to Thursday, 8.00 am to 4.00 pm on Friday. You will be asked to provide evidence of identity when collecting your feedback, or a signed letter from you is required, naming an alternate person to collect on your behalf. Please note that we do not give out marks over the phone. Unratified feedback is only available by coming to the Duke of Kent building, unless you have provided a stamped addressed envelope. Please note unratified results are not available if you have had an extension. If you have been referred in either part do NOT contact the mentorship team until the ratified marks are published and you have collected your work from exams as there is information in your LDP that instructs you what to do. Ratified Results The publication date is normally listed in your module handbook but if not you should check with the module leader. Ratified results are available on the Student Self-Service. Students will need to log in in order to get their ratified results. Below is the link Please note that we do not give out marks over the phone. We will not write to you about your result unless you have been referred or failed. If you have passed, you will receive a transcript by post 3-4 weeks after publication of results.
7 RETURN OF ASSIGNMENT You must take full responsibility for the return of your marked work. 1) Post Your work will only be posted to you if you provide a stamped and selfaddressed envelope. It is your responsibility to ensure the envelope is large enough and sufficient postage has been paid to cover return. If you would like your unratified feedback posted to you as well as your work, you will need to provide two stamped addressed envelopes. 2) Collection Following publication of ratified results, assignments will normally be ready for collection from the Examinations Office, Room 09DK02, Duke of Kent Building. On the first day results are published the office stays open from to 5.00 pm. On all other days the hours for collection are 8.30 to am, to 2.30 pm and 4.00 to 5.00 pm. If you genuinely cannot attend within these hours you should telephone to make alternate arrangements do not come outside the published opening hours without prior agreement as the office will be closed and there may be nobody available to help you. You are required to provide your campus card or other photographic evidence of identity in order to collect work and will be asked to sign for it. You may nominate a friend or colleague to collect work on your behalf. A signed letter is required naming the person to collect the work, who will be required to sign their name on collection.
