2 Annual Trade Show Dear Exhibitor: The Funeral Directors Services Association of Greater Chicago (FDSA) invites you to exhibit at its Annual Trade Show on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 from NOON-7:00 pm at White Eagle Banquets & Restaurant, 6839 N. Milwaukee Avenue in Niles, Illinois. We have extended the trade show hours! Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. and the doors open at Noon! All funeral home employees and licensed funeral directors in the Chicago metropolitan area, including FDSA members and non-members, are invited to attend the show and education programming at NO CHARGE. By offering FREE admission to the show and up to 5 hours of FREE continuing education credits*, the FDSA Trade Show attracts hundreds of professionals who are the decision-makers in the funeral services industry. The 2014 Trade Show attracted over 500 attendees from Northern Illinois alone! In addition to the trade show and education programs, there will be an optional dinner from 7:00 8:00 pm which will give interested event participants an additional opportunity to network with each other. One complimentary ticket to the networking dinner is included in the cost of each booth. To exhibit, simply complete the enclosed Exhibitor s Agreement and submit it with your payment to the FDSA office. Booths will be 8 by 10 with piping and draping, and will contain a skirted 30 by 8 table with two chairs and a wastebasket. Electrical needs? Order early and avoid the day-of-show surcharge. Inbound delivery of show material should be scheduled no earlier than Tuesday, November 3, Outbound materials must be shipping ready, pre-labeled and pick up must be completed by 10:00 a.m. on November 5, New this year! Exhibitors will be able to select their booth location. After reviewing the enclosed diagram, please indicate your top three choices on the registration form. Vendor Box Lunches will be delivered to your booth at 11:00 a.m. No need to interrupt your set-up. 4 Annual Trade Show Rules & Regulations for Exhibit Space 1. Exhibit space will be an 8 by 10 booth with piping and draping. The space will contain a 30 by 8 skirted table, two chairs and a wastebasket. You are encouraged to provide your own signage such as banners that can be hung in front of your booth. We suggest a size of 2 by 5 for your banner. 2. Contracting for exhibit space binds exhibitor to all exhibit space rules and regulations. 3. Electrical needs can be arranged for an additional fee(s) of $ (See registration form) 4. Exhibit space assignments are on a first-come, first-served basis based upon availability and receipt of full payment. 5. No entertainment of any kind is permitted in the exhibit area nor may music be broadcast in the exhibit area. 6. The exhibit area will be located in a public, unsecured area of the facility. Exhibit space will not have lockable storage provided. Any loss or damage to exhibitors property shall be the sole responsibility of the exhibitor. 7. Exhibitors may not provide alcohol of any kind within the exhibit area. 8. Exhibit Access Hours: (Note: Set-up must be complete by 11:30 a.m. for exhibits to open on time.) Irregular Advertising: The exhibit is limited to those persons, firms and corporations that have contracted for exhibit space in the exhibit facility. Promotions are limited to the assigned exhibit space. No other persons, firms or corporations will be permitted to demonstrate products, solicit orders or distribute advertising material in the exhibit facility. 10. Assignment and Use by Others: No Exhibitor may assign its contracted space to another or permit any other persons, firms or corporations to use any part of such space. 11. Failure to Hold Trade Show or Provide Space: Should the FDSA fail to hold its trade show as herein provided, or to furnish to Exhibitor the space herein described, the association shall promptly refund all sums paid hereunder, and such refund shall be accepted by Exhibitor in full settlement of all loss or damage suffered by Exhibitor. 12. Rejection of Exhibits: The FDSA reserves the right to reject or prohibit any exhibit, proposed exhibit, or part thereof including without limitation, any person, article, conduct, printed matter, catalog or souvenir that, in the opinion of the FDSA, is not suitable to or in keeping with the character of the Exhibit. 12. Hold Harmless: Exhibitor holds harmless FDSA and its Officers, staff, assigns, independent contractors and the venue owner from any claim or action resulting from personal injury, property damage, loss or theft or any other action or violation of any law. 13. Casket Vendors: Casket vendors are allowed a maximum of two (2) caskets per booth not to exceed a double rack. 14. Double Wide Booths: There will be four double-wide booth opportunities on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please contact FDSA for availability and costs.
