11 POP Palfinger Origin Protection Before assembling the main components are sand-blasted, degreased, primer painted and final coated (according to customer specification). All other parts are Zinc nickel anticorrosion treated. 12 CORROSION RESISTANCE AUTOMOTIVE STANDARD CORROSION PROTECTION Mechanical parts are protected with ZINNI AL 15 coating. This zinc nickel alloy is the best that technology offers today for metallic surface protection. A large number of automotive manufacturers use this technology on all parts which must face difficult environmental conditions. These 2 samples (left: ZINNI AL 15 - right: raw steel) were sand-blasted and submerged in salt water during 24 H. See the result after 24 H in the open air. 10

13 INCREASED LIFETIME PAINTING Equipments can be ordered with chassis colour final coating. The components are painted before assembling and all non painted parts (pins, pin stops, fittings, springs) are corrosion protected. Subframe, tipping frame and hinge are chassis final colour coated. All cylinders are painted in Black RAL 9011, arm + horizontal part and rear pulleys in Yellow RAL The yellow shiny colour offers a top visibility to moving parts for enhanced safety.
