7 ACT Functions - Testbed, Clearinghouse, Capacity Building Technology Evaluations Activities ± Testing Guidelines developed with a verification trial in winter ± Recent/Present Testing: In Situ Dissolved Oxygen Sensors test performed summer 2004 results / reports now available at In Situ Fluorometers for measures of chlorophyll now underway 8 sensors submitted for testing at 7 partner locations 56 individual tests Next evaluation on Turbidity Sensors RFT recently published
8 Instrument performance demonstrations and verifications are necessary so that effective existing technologies can be recognized and so that promising new technologies can become available to support coastal science, resource management, and ocean observing systems. ACT has completed a Performance Verification of four in situ dissolved oxygen sensors: Aanderaa, Greenspan, In-Situ and YSI.
