5 Forensic Accounting Fraud Examination Highlighted Cases 501(c) 3 Fraud Examination of financial records of Department of Children and Families subsidiary service entity; analysis of private inurement; related parties transactions; 501(c)3 revocation; State of Florida s reversionary interest in several real property holdings; present findings to board of directors meeting with approximately thirtyfive attendees Guardianship Fraud Case involving misuse of funds by elder s son/trustee and son/power of attorney; April 2014 case settled. Ponzi scheme Fraud Provided analysis on a claim of several million dollars acquired and misappropriated by investment fraud by two defendant(s); my work uncovered evidence to support petitioner s claim and therefore limited the defenses to be raised; 2011 Guardianship Fraud Case involving the disputed handling of a Ward s property by professional guardian; Guardianship Fraud Allegations of overbilling and misappropriation of guardianship assets were made against a professional guardian. The court relied upon my expert testimony in the matter and determined the allegations were unfounded; Settled Hotel Supplies Company Fraud Bookkeeper embezzled approximately $300,000 from a $3m company over a three year time period by crediting 20 different credit cards in her name. Fraud examination report filed; case is now with police detectives; 2010 Veterinary Clinic Fraud Office manager embezzled approximately $48k from a $1.5 to $3m company; my work involved testing the financial system to prove or disprove the possibility of theft.
