9 BSR-TeMo Aim: To support policy makers in understanding the situation of the Baltic Sea Region (BSR) in terms of territorial cohesion and development. And with that to support the policy making processes related to the BSR and the updating of the Long Term Development Perspective (LTDP) for the BSR. The application should support the identification of potential territorial impacts of new EU Legislations, Policies and Directives (LPD). 19 Aim: Functional Indicators tool To support the production of innovative indicators related to Territorial Cohesion Policy at European and regional levels. Take into account the effect of transportation networks on the comparative advantages of territories and allow benchmarking regions in Europe. How much population is accessible in a given time-distance around a certain region? In which regions in Europe could complementarities on labour market be created? Input: Datasets from the ESPON Database plus distance-time plus accessibility matrices (NUTS 3) Scales: NUTS 3 Coverage: EU Target group: Practitioners at European and regional levels Timing: End 2014

20 Aim: HyperAtlas To compose indicators on the basis of the ratio of two initial geographical indices according to different spatial contexts. With that to give policy makers in analysing and visualising a spatial phenomenon taking into account its multiple possible representations. The phenomena range from population density to employment rate and productivity. 21 CityBench Aim: To support users in benchmarking one city against other cities in issues such as demographic, economic and environmental challenges. To analyse which cities are close to each other according to one or more parameters, and to quick check urban conditions for attracting investors and boost the development of the cities.
