5 Invisible Body Tag 1 Brocade Compatibility Statement This document summarizes equipment known to be compatible with the Brocade product family. Products named in the compatibility tables reflect equipment tested at Brocade or tested externally. IMPORTANT: In an earlier version of this document, published in early 008, the following Gbps platforms were removed: Brocade (SilkWorm) 3000, 300, 3800, 3014, 3016, 350, 3850, 3900, 1000, and 4000; and Brocade AP740. However, we have made the previous version, which includes these platforms, available with the current version. Also, Chapter 4 in that earlier version of this document, Scalability, has been moved to a standalone document entitled, Brocade Scalability Guidelines, available on the same Web site as the current version of this document. The devices listed are deemed compatible with Brocade products in a Brocade infrastructure. Brocade cannot provide direct support for the end nodes or applications listed in this document, but is committed to ensuring the Brocade infrastructure is operating correctly while integrating with these components. The components listed in this document are not guaranteed to work in all configurations, but Brocade is committed to helping customers with a valid Brocade Support Contract to resolve any compatibility issues. NOTE: If an item is not listed it may simply mean that it has not been tested. It does not mean that it is incompatible. In this document, the term compatibility means having the ability to connect to the Brocade product, to register with the name server (if appropriate), and to support a moderate level of I/O. Users of this list should plan on validating their specific configuration with a level of testing appropriate to their application. Brocade expects suppliers of complete solutions (OEM or Integration Partners) to provide details on configurations they have certified. This document provides the basis for integrators to assemble working systems that they can support and certify. However, Brocade cannot certify that any components on this list, when attached to any other component via our switching products, will operate with no issues. 6 Brocade Compatibility Statement Sections titled Brocade Compatibility Matrix Quick Reference and Brocade Compatibility Matrix by provide an overview of devices that are compatible within a Brocade infrastructure. Guidance is provided on products that are known to integrate with a Brocade infrastructure. To ensure proper integration, users should refer questions on configuration details to their OEM or integrator supporting these devices. Brocade expects that the solution provider will supply detailed guidelines on the correct firmware, driver, and configuration settings required to ensure that specific needs are met. By the date of publication of this document, vendors may offer more recent software support for their products. Users of this document should refer questions on end-to-end interoperability to their OEM or Integration Partner. Your support provider can assist with the proper configuration and tuning of your end-to-end solution. The products listed in this document are considered compatible in a Brocade infrastructure. Data Center Ready Program A check mark in the Data Center Ready column in the Brocade Compatible Matrix Quick Reference sections indicates products that have been tested within the guidelines of the Brocade Data Center Ready Partner program. This program provides a set of key guidelines to ensure that partners' products meet the minimum requirements for compatibility in a Brocade networked storage environment. Data Center Ready is intended to provide additional assurance that standard off-the-shelf components can integrate seamlessly in an existing Brocade infrastructure.
