Note: Do not connect a network cable to the serial port. After initial configuration is complete, you can configure it to suit your needs. For instructions, refer to KnowledgeBase article KB70307 at mysupport.mcafee.com. 7 E model appliances E model appliances Use the diagrams in this section to identify the internal and external network ports on your E model appliance. Your Firewall Enterprise model number is located on a label on top of the chassis. Find that model number in this guide and use the corresponding diagram to identify your network ports. If your appliance has an optional card, an additional identifier is added to the chassis label: X = PCI-X, E = PCIe, Fib = Fiber. For example, if your model is 1100E with a PCI-X card, the label on the appliance would read 1100E with an additional sticker reading X. You would use the diagram for 1100E-X.
