4 Purpose of the Study Assess the effectiveness of an educational intervention on nurse managers and leaders at an academic health system.

5 Overview Goal: Competency based training in the fundamental concepts of health information technology Target audience: Employed nurses preparing for or in a leadership/managerial role Intervention: Two full day educational program Study results were used to create course content in an ongoing nursing informatics tract offered by the professional development department
