Many of these stages in industry end up as steady jobs for students. Many of the students elaborate their Final Project in the companies. More than 700 agreements / contracts signed in the last two years with 1 different companies. 38% of the staff are professionals coming from industry that impart the practical classes in the last two years (Second Cycle). 6 companies are in charge of specific subjects. More than 15 companies came last year to recruit students in all our engineering degrees. 5

6 A high number of credits in practical classes In more than 60% of the subjects 30% of the credits belong to practical classes or laboratory experience. Laboratories for Student Practice (Not Research): Laboratories for: Power Electronics and Electrical Machines, Industrial Perception Systems, Integrated Production Systems, Automata and Industrial Informatics, Measurement and Regulations Systems, Digital Electronics, Analogue Electronics, Computer Architecture, Signals, Telematics, Instrumentation, Multimedia and 10 General Purpose Labs. More than 600 workstations for individual work Laboratories are open from 8 to 21 hours. Leading Edge Technologies thanks to the collaboration of the most representative companies in industry (IBM, SAP, SUN, Microsoft, CA, National Instruments, Siemens, Cisco,...). International Programme Study Abroad - Students can study abroad for a year or a semester convalidating their studies (60 30 ECTS Credits). - The University of Deusto is pioneer in using t European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) in of its Faculties and Schools. - The University of Deusto is the second unive in Spain in % of students participating in the Student Mobility Programme Erasmus. (423 students participated in (United Kingdom, France, Sweden, Holland, Italy we the most demanded countries by students) N the mobility programme is opening stages in and Latin America. 6
