PURPOSE OF ROLE: The primary purpose of the role is to assist in the development and delivery of converged infrastructure solutions according to criteria received from consultation with customers and internal design team. The successful candidate should also be able to provide technical advice, support and strategy to both our customers and our Sales Team in order to deliver continued growth within the business. Technical Architects will work with Solutions Architects and Account Teams to formulate an Account Plan for nominated customers. They should act as the Technical Authority for these accounts by delivering technical information to the customer in the form of RFI/RFP responses, as well as providing product updates and industry/competitive analysis. This requires a pro-active approach to meet with customers on regular and frequent occasions and to develop a deep technical relationship at all levels. Open and honest relationships are fundamental to Imtech and key to our continued growth and as such the successful candidate will be expected to develop and maintain excellent relationships both internally, within our technical community and colleagues from other functional roles, and also externally with our Partners and customers for whom we are seen as a Technical Authority.

2 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Technical Design Authority Assist in the delivery of technical Strategy for nominated customers Generate technical documents to support bid responses (RFI, RFP, ITT) Knowledge sharing of latest industry trends in technology relating to our key plays with our sales team, customers, prospects and partners Deliver solution updates covering roadmaps with our customers and prospects Develop and assist in the delivery of appropriate data centre solutions Relationships Develop and maintain open, honest peer relationships with Account Managers/Directors Develop and maintain open, honest relationships with customers, partners and colleagues Commercial Awareness of a solution s component parts and their commercial implications to our customers Awareness of alternative technologies that can be used to fulfil our customers requirements within their budgetary constraints. Ensure that all technical solutions fit within the customers requirements Contribute towards Account Plans with Account Manager/Director and team Work within the bid process to ensure that peer-validation procedures are followed to ultimately achieve technical sign-off Development of services offerings along with infrastructure sales

3 PERSON SPECIFICATION: Qualifications / Knowledge Essential Knowledge of the following: Sales & Process. Production of RFP s and technical responses. Production of Bill of materials. Experience in data-centre design and implementation. Desirable Sales Training: Financial analysis (ROI) of technical solutions. Skills & Abilities Excellent documentation and verbal communication skills. Consultancy skills - understand customer issues/requirements whilst delivering solutions that address these. Facilitation of design workshops. Ability to deliver demonstrations to illustrate our solutions to customers. Administration of internal PoC equipment. Personal Qualities Participate effectively as part of a virtual team. Strong self-motivation, with the ability to work on own initiative. Other Must be willing to be in the office at least twice a week. Be able to stay away from home as and when needed. The role may include occasional international travel. Full and current driving licence. Experience Previous experience in Converged Infrastructure implementation. Current industry and competitor knowledge around our business solutions. Proven ability to work from an office as well as remotely in virtual teams with Account Managers, Post-Sales Support, Post-Sales Consultants and all support functions. Live within 2 hour commute of Basingstoke. Able to obtain UK SC clearance if required. Experience within verticals such: o Service Provider o Public Sector o Large Enterprise o Mid-Market Experience and skills in developing and delivering technical presentations up to and including CTO level.

4 TECHNOLOGY KNOWLEDGE Excellent technical knowledge of at least one the following key focus areas for Imtech ICT, with a willingness to learn at a higher level all the other key propositions: Storage: Experience with NetApp FAS Implementation including the relevant NetApp Software features. Knowledge of EMC VNX or similar storage products. Data Centre Networking: Cisco Nexus 5K and/or other products in the Cisco Data Centre portfolio. Knowledge of other data centre networking technologies Compute & Virtualisation: Cisco UCS. VMware vsphere Knowledge of Microsoft HyperV or other hypervisors. Knowledge of VDI implementations (VMware/Microsoft/Citrix). NetApp Certifications: o NCDA (Data Administrator) o NCIE (SAN Implementation Engineer) implemented at a storage level. Cisco Data Centre Certifications: o CCNA/CCNP o DCUFI/DCUFT (Unified Fabric Implementation) implemented at a network level. Cisco Data Centre Certifications: o DCUCI/DCUCT (UCS Implementation) VMware Certifications: o VCP implemented at a server, desktop, and hypervisor level.
