2 Facts About Joliet Junior College Joliet Junior College (JJC) is America s first public community college, founded in Located in northeastern Illinois, JJC serves a district of 700,000 residents in a 1,442 square-mile area (the size of Rhode Island) that includes parts of seven counties. Classes are held at six campuses and education centers, as well as numerous satellite locations. The JJC annual student population of both Credit and Non-credit students is 42,000.
