This was (in its origins and still is) the University s Pediatric Outreach Clinic serving Native American (the second largest urban population of Native Americans in the United States), African-American, and low-income families. This Center was administered by the University s Health Sciences, and jointly funded by state, county and federal funds Designed and implemented educational programs to promote health of the catchment s area population Created a mental health effort which spoke to each culture in ways that honored its history and practices (the Center was the first to hire a Native American Medicine Man on federal funds) Provided community education regarding interdisciplinary health care for a diverse population

Later revised and funded by State of Minnesota at $65,000. Grant awarded by the Governor's Office of Economic Opportunity to evaluate effectiveness of Special Program for Head Start, OCD-BEH, State of Minnesota. Award: $6,500. Grant to fund preventive services to children and families at Community University Health Care Center, University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, MN, from county and state program awards. Award approximately $100,000 annually. Grant to study development of moral judgment in nine-year old males as preventive of delinquency.
