Full-time judges, part-time judges, and retired judges eligible for assignment are required to obtain 2.0 hours of instruction in judicial ethics and professionalism. (Gov. Jud. R IV 2(B)) 2. Full-time judges, part-time judges, and retired judges eligible for assignment are required to obtain 2.0 hours of instruction in Access to Justice & Fairness in the Courts that must be fulfilled by taking a Judicial College course. (effective January 1, 2010.) (Gov. Jud R IV) 3. Magistrates are required to obtain 2.5 hours of instruction in ethics (1.0 hour), professionalism (1.0 hour) and substance abuse (0.5 hour). (Gov. Bar R X) 4. There is no pre-registration or tuition for the Judicial Candidates courses. You simply attend the session of your choice. 5. Full-day courses normally consist of 5.5 CJE/CLE credit hours and are from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., unless otherwise noted. Video Teleconferences normally consist of 2.5 CJE/CLE credit hours and are from 1:00 p.m. - 3:45 p.m., unless otherwise noted.
