2 S E S Introduction to Quality Tools 18 hours 1-credit (six 3-hour sessions) - Estimated Cost Per Participant = $145 In this class each learner will demonstrate systematic problem solving, data based decision-making, and process controlling by utilizing cause analysis tools, data collection and analysis tools, and evaluation and decision making tools. This is a credit class and homework, outside activities and assessments will need to be completed by participants. It will start with an overview to quality, Six Sigma and SPC concepts. It will cover variation, review statistical software (Minitab), use step-by-step methods for collecting data and describing processes statistically will be explored, and present statistical information graphically. 3 Lean Overview Training Lean Overview for Supervisors 8 hour session - Estimated Cost Per Participant = $60 In this 8-hour Supervisor Lean Overview training is focused on providing lead workers, management and supervisory participants basic exposure to all types of Lean Manufacturing, foundational leadership concepts, change management methods and project implementation tools to support using lean concepts. 5 Six Sigma Green Belt 80 Hours: Initial 5 day training (4 weeks independent work) 5 more days training Estimated Cost Per Participant = $1,600 Intensive project work required and instructor project coaching between class sessions encouraged This course, which includes a work related project, will introduce the participant to Lean Six Sigma. Topics will include an overview of Lean Six Sigma, the DMAIC improvement process (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control), lean production techniques, basic statistical methods, and project management approaches. Statistical techniques include basic statistics, control charts, process capability, and hypothesis testing. Lean techniques include introduction to value stream mapping, quick improvements, and 5S. Instruction requires use of Minitab statistical software for statistical analysis. 8 Conflict Resolution 8 hours total; two 4-hour sessions - Estimated Cost Per Participant = $65 Conflict Resolution This 8-hour session targets training lead workers, managers, and supervisors to gain an appreciation of how important effective communication is to conflict resolution. During this session participants will participate in a DiSC style analysis, practice different communication methods, and run through methods of collaboration, all as way to handle conflict. Throughout the 2-part session causes and symptoms of conflict and methods of addressing conflict will be practiced. The session will additionally touch on the challenges of dealing with gossip, perceptions of workload, and ineffective communication.
