16 High touch student support model proven to increase persistence and graduation rates Each student is paired with a personal advisor Low student-to-advisor ratio Advisor hiring program is modeled after Teach for America w/ a 2-year commitment from elite college graduates Advisors are pro-active from Day 1, not reactive Advisors work with students to develop 4-year road map, including course planning and transfer goals (Individualized Success Plan / ISP) All students take Student Success course, focused on leadership and personal development Students grouped into honors peer cohorts that serve as support network Research indicates proactive student support as the most meaningful way to increase persistence and completion rates
17 The Program Transfer Transfer On average, students applied to 5.3 colleges and universities for transfer 100% of transfer students were accepted to 1 or more 4- year university - 94% transferred this year; 1 deferred for a mission trip 83% of transfer students have been accepted into their #1 dream transfer school 71% of students have been accepted to a top-100 national university or college as ranked by U.S. News & World Report Scholarship Our 17 transfer students garnered over $2.2 million dollars in scholarships and grants Thanks to scholarships & grants, our students will pay - on average - 17% of tuition costs at their transfer institutions 17

19 Enrollment management: In Year 1, honors program has drawn in new high school students I would not have enrolled at Ivy Tech had it not been for the chance to join the American Honors program. In other words, I enrolled specifically for American Honors. I was considering attending Ivy Tech, and learning about the American Honors program made me more likely to enroll at Ivy Tech or I enrolled specifically for AH 23% 43% Incremental New Students Influenced Decision Based on survey of incoming American Honors students (n=35). 21 Business agreement designed to encourage long-term partnership Term: 10 years 225 mile zone of exclusivity for CCS: effectively all of eastern Washington Includes minimum enrollment targets required of American Honors Recognizes and incorporates Collective Bargaining Agreement Intellectual Property CCS and faculty maintain all rights to curriculum contributed to American Honors program License granted to CCS to use full library of AH content developed by the network during the term of the agreement; limits non-network commercialization Economics Revenue from the differential AH tuition rate will be shared by CCS and AH At scale, after cost recovery, provides for 50/50 revenue split 21
