Clerking charges are per hour. All of the above service levels are available to Academy Schools at the same rate. Additional pay as you go options: Servicing of a GDC meeting for subscribing schools* 310 Servicing of additional GB/ Committee meetings* 135 Provision of a clerk for additional meetings (clerk only)* 70 Attendance at training for subscribing schools 75PP/PS Facilitation of Complaint Meetings (per meeting)* 300 Please note this does not include distribution of approved minutes Provision of a clerk only for additional meetings Gold Level 60 Whole GB training 1 hour hours ( 350 if Gold Level) x 2 hours (e.g. Child Protection) 750 Cluster sessions are available on request External review of school governance 2500 Facilitation of sourcing an independent governor for a HR related meeting/gdc panel 100

The Council may extend the period of notice at any time before it expires. The School shall be entitled to terminate the SLA at any time by giving the Council three months written notice. 3 Governor Services SLA 2014/2015 Service Description Governor Services work closely with schools to support Governing Bodies in raising achievement for all pupils. Governor Services offers support in the following ways: Termly Governors newsletter Termly Governors Briefing Training Governors meeting Newsletters to Chairs of Governors as required Strategic advice and guidance on good governance, legislative and procedural matters A clerking service that supports the Governing Body in fulfilling its procedural and administrative responsibilities Access to a training programme linked to strengthening the Governing Body s role in supporting and challenging the school School based training sessions An Instrument of Government for each school maintained by LBWF Maintenance of Governing Body membership details Nomination and appointment of authority governors Link to School Governors page on Waltham Forest Council website Maintaining governor attendance records Circulation of information relevant to school governors from other WF teams Specific Service Standards A dedicated support officer for your school, which in some cases will also be the clerk for your school Agendas will be produced and sent for approval no less than ten working days prior to a meeting (the Governing Body can request to change this timeframe) Draft minutes will be produced within five working days of the meeting Approved minutes will be circulated to all governors To help us meet your needs as effectively as possible We ask that you provide Governor Services with the information required to help us deliver an efficient, effective and relevant service to your school. This may include dates, times and venues of meetings, training needs analysis etc. Governor Services should be advised of any cancellation in respect of attendance on a training course as early as possible, so that the place may be offered to another governor Please advise Governor Services as early as possible of any cancellation of a serviced meeting Platinum Level Servicing of all Governing Body and Committee meetings (but not Governor Discipline Committee, HR or Complaint meetings) Unlimited access to the Governor Services pool of clerks One school based training session per financial year** **this does not include Safer Recruitment training
4 Gold Level Servicing of nine meetings per year Governing Body and Committee meetings (but not Governor Discipline Committee, HR or Complaint meetings) Provision of a clerk for additional meetings at a reduced rate Please note that a school based training session is no longer included in the Gold service, though is offered at a reduced rate for schools buying this level of service Silver Service Servicing of six meetings per year Governing Body Committee meetings (but not Governor Discipline Committee, HR or Complaint meetings) Bronze Service Servicing of six meetings per year Governing Body or Committee meetings (but not Governor Discipline Committee meetings, HR or Complaint meetings) Children Centre Advisory Boards Servicing of five Advisory Board meetings per year Information on Other Services Advice and support available from any member of the team Training only package unlimited access to Governor Services training package for schools that do not buy a service package Clerks development attendance at Clerks Briefing for clerks employed directly by the school, along with helpline and advice on agendas for clerks GDC Meetings Liaison with parties to attend, dispatch of papers and correspondence as appropriate. Full clerking and admin support Servicing of meetings - servicing of committee or additional Governing Body meetings (excluding GDC, HR and Complaint meetings). Only available to schools who already purchase a service Attendance at training per person charge for schools that do not buy into a service level or training package Facilitation of Complaints meetings Liaison with parties to attend, dispatch of correspondence as appropriate and provision of a clerk if required Provision of a clerk for additional meetings subject to the capacity of the service at the time of the request please note that the provision of a clerk for additional meetings does not include circulation of meeting papers prior to the meeting or circulation of minutes following the meeting, both of which are the responsibility of the school
5 School based Governing Body training sessions cost based on duration of training session In addition to the above services we are willing to discuss other services that schools may require, outside of the core offer. Please note that while we will endeavour to provide a clerk for all meetings we cannot guarantee this for HR and Complaints meetings.
