12 Other initiatives We use thousands of pieces of medical equipment. What can we do as a group of medical centers to encourage manufacturers to build moreenergy energy efficient products? Could OR lights, for example, use LED lights with at least equal illumination, but less watts and heat generation and longer life Are we using the most efficient water consuming equipment in our kitchens, sterile processing, lavatories and landscape.
