2 STANDS AND TURNING POINTS The Operator should note that under normal circumstances, the specific restrictions relating to each stand will apply to the whole stand at all times. Any variation to such standing arrangements must be agreed by London Buses. In addition, the Operator should note the following general requirements: 1) Drivers MUST switch off engines during the layover periods on stands. 2) No meal reliefs may be taken on any stand without the permission of London Buses. 3) No crew ferry vehicles may enter any stand without the permission of London Buses. 4) Buses should be scheduled with a maximum layover time of 20 minutes between arrival and departure. COVENTRY STREET, W1 Public stand in Coventry Street north side. At any No more than two TOLST/London Pride buses to stand at any one RUPERT STREET, W1 Turning point only buses must not stand at any time Buses proceed from Piccadilly Circus via Coventry Street to Rupert Street and depart via Rupert Street, Shaftesbury Avenue, Great Windmill Street, to Haymarket and then as main route. Set down and/or pick up at lamp column no. 3 in Rupert Street. VICTORIA, BUCKINGHAM PALACE ROAD, SW1 Public stand in bay in Buckingham Palace Road south-east side, from a point 78.7 metres northeast of the north-eastern kerbline of Eccleston Bridge, extending for a distance of 11.5 metres north-eastwards. Buses proceed from Grosvenor Place via Lower Grosvenor Place, Buckingham Palace Road to stand and depart direct. Set down and pick up on stand. 2

3 NORTHUMBERLAND AVENUE, WC2 Public stand in Northumberland Avenue south side, from a point 24 metres west of the western kerb line of Great Scotland Yard, extending for a distance of 12 metres westwards (at the easternmost bay). Buses proceed from Victoria Embankment via Northumberland Avenue, or from Whitehall via Whitehall Place or Great Scotland Yard to Northumberland Avenue stand, and depart direct. Set down and pick up on stand. CHARING CROSS ROAD, WC2 Public stand in Charing Cross Road east side, south of junction with Cranbourn Street. Buses proceed from Piccadilly Circus via Shaftesbury Avenue, Charing Cross Road to stand and depart via Charing Cross Road, St Martin s Place to Trafalgar Square Set down and pick up on stand. 3

4 PICKING UP AND SETTING DOWN POINTS (i) (ii) At the specified stopping points nos. 2 to 30, buses may stop for no longer than is necessary to pick up and/or set down passengers; buses must not stop at these points for any other reason. At stopping points where kerbside conductors are employed, off-bus ticket sales may only take place prior to the bus's arrival and no transaction between the kerbside conductor and passengers may occur whilst the bus is stationary.
