2 History In 2014, the Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce reached a milestone when it marked 90 years in existence as the region s premiere business advocacy organization. With nearly 1,200 member businesses that collectively employ more than 70,000 employees in the North Central Florida region, the Chamber had grown its profile over the years as the voice of business and convener on critical business-related issues in Greater Gainesville. In 2013, the Chamber reached a turning point in the organization with a new administration and a fresh perspective that is repositioning the community as the global hub of talent, innovation and opportunity. A new strategic plan was written and adopted, with new mission statements and goals. The organization s new strategic plan recommended, as a top priority, a rebranding process that would better reflect the organization s broader reach and mission. That rebranding process is now complete and this Request for Proposal is to implement the new brand of the Chamber, which should reflect a tone that is creative, energizing, approachable, enduring, inclusive and bold. Vision & Mission Vision: To make the Gainesville Region a global hub of talent, opportunity and innovation. Mission: To lead economic prosperity. Project Scope The Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce is refreshing its brand identity on the heels of realigning the organization along the community s rapidly growing industry sectors in Advanced Logistics, Advanced Materials, Agricultural Life Sciences, Human Life Sciences, and Software/IT. In 2014, the Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce methodically launched its new approach to serving, advancing, and cultivating an innovation-based economy fueled by the pre-eminent University of Florida, a Top 10 community college in Santa Fe College, advances in bio-technology and a burgeoning startup community. Next year will also mark the beginning of a comprehensive economic development strategy, Transforming Greater Gainesville: A Game-Changing Plan that seeks to nearly double the current economic development funding. 2 P a g e

3 Objective Achieve positive brand perception that the Gainesville Area Chamber is the region s convener on issues impacting the business community. Goals (measured by annual satisfaction survey, metrics, website analytics, SEO and other feedback): To launch a new brand i.e. website, signage, electronic communications, social media platform ( look and feel ), etc Generate strong market awareness of the GACC s refreshed brand identity among the Greater Gainesville business community Target Audience Prospective and current businesses, entrepreneurs, and professionals in Greater Gainesville area, Alachua County and surrounding communities. Project Details The GACC seeks through this request for proposals to enter into a contract to provide professional services to redesign the Chamber s official website, The specific services desired from this solicitation are comprised of creative and graphic design, website development & implementation, as well as cost-effective maintenance recommendations and solutions for the ongoing maintenance and daily/weekly/monthly updates of the website and its content. Required Deliverables: 1. Refreshed Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce website including new logos and all iterations for digital and print applications 2. Brand Style Guide 3. Refresh Messaging i.e. Tagline, Brand Narrative/Story, Elevator Speech, Talking Points 4. Ensure brand consistency in all online, print materials and signage. Signage may include: a. Acrylic or sustainable material lobby signs b. Banner flags c. Stage/event signage 5. Produce templates for regular electronic communications and train appropriate GACC staff to update, modify, & distribute 6. Produce PowerPoint presentation template acceptable to the GACC for use in communicating with specific audiences or constituent groups 3 P a g e

4 Overview for Proposal Submissions This is an open and competitive process All Chamber members in good standing are allowed to respond to this RFP The quoted price should include itemized fees for each specific deliverable and an overall project amount If the pricing excludes certain fees or charges, a detailed list must be provided explaining excluded fees If work to be performed by your company shall involve hiring subcontractors, you must clearly state this in your proposal. Subcontractors must be identified and the work they will perform must be defined. The GACC will not refuse a proposal based on the use of subcontractors, but we retain the right to refuse the subcontractors you have selected. Required Components of Your Proposal The submittal, if electronic, should be sent via to [email protected] with the subject line: Proposal for Gainesville Area Chamber Website Design submitted by (Name of Your Company), and should be received by the Chamber no later than August 1, 2014 by 5:00 PM EST. Any proposal received by the after August 1, 2014 by 5:00 PM EST will not be considered. The time of receipt shall be determined by the time clock stamp in the offices of the Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce. Hard copy submissions also will be accepted. By submitting a proposal, the service provider certifies that they understand the requirements and conditions of services to be provided. A detailed summary of the work to be completed 2. List of deliverables you agree to provide 3. Time frame for completing each phase 4. Identification of all subcontractors 5. 5 Basis for Award of Contract A single firm or multiple firms with different yet complimentary competencies or a single individual or multiple individuals can be considered to provide all or any combination of the desired services. Ownership Of Proposals Proposals will be received and held in confidence by the Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce. All documents, including proposals, submitted become the property of the Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce. Deadline to Submit a Proposal The deadline to submit your proposal is August 1, 2014 by 5:00 PM EST. We must receive your proposal by this date. No exceptions and no phone calls, please. Proposals received after 5:00PM PST on August 1, 2014 by 5:00 PM EST will not be considered. All bidders will be notified of the decision within one week after the final selection. Timeline Once a vendor is selected, this project will commence mid-late August, 2014, with deliverables due by Jan. 15, Budget for Project The budget for this project is $25,000.
